Cottingley Surgery - Closed Until Further Notice

Cottingley Surgery is temporarily closed until further notice due to health and safety concerns following significant water ingress into the building, which has caused an electrical failure. As a result, it is not safe for face-to-face clinical services to take place at the Cottingley site.

Accessing Care
The surgery remains open as a service, and patients should continue to contact us in the usual way.

Please continue to call 0113 295 4388

Our phone line remains open and will be answered by our usual Cottingley team, who are currently working from our other sites.

Appointments
All appointments normally available at Cottingley are being held for Cottingley patients

Cottingley patients will be given priority access to appointments

Appointments will take place:

By telephone or video, or
Via home visit, where clinically appropriate, particularly for patients who are unable to travel

If a face-to-face appointment is required, this will take place at one of our other sites:

Bramley Village Health & Wellbeing Centre
Middleton Park Surgery

Patients can also contact us using our SMARTconsultation online system, which allows you to submit requests and receive advice without needing to attend the surgery:

Online consultations

Other NHS Services
Some conditions can be treated without seeing a GP:

Local pharmacies can now provide treatment and advice for a range of minor illnesses through the Pharmacy First service
You can also contact NHS 111, online or by phone, for advice and to be directed to the most appropriate service

Urgent Care
If you have chest pain, severe shortness of breath, signs of stroke, heavy bleeding, or a life-threatening emergency, call 999 immediately.

Keeping You Updated
We understand this is inconvenient and apologise for the disruption. We will update this message as soon as further information is available and once it is safe to reopen the Cottingley building.
