Today is Time to Talk Day! 03/02/2022
1 in 4 of us will experience a mental health problem at some point.
Talking about mental health reduces stigma & creates safe, supportive environments where we can talk about mental health and feel empowered to seek help if we need it.
Opening up conversations about mental health problems is so important, by talking about this we can support both ourselves and others...it is amazing how much a conversation can help someone feel better!!
Just some ways to start a conversation about mental health might be....
- Send a text or give someone a call (conversations can be easier when not in person)
- Invite someone for lunch
- Have a chat over a coffee
- Talk whilst cooking, driving or walking (it can often be easier side by side)
- Ask someone how they are and really listen to their answer
