If anyone is still following me, I apologise for being away for so long. I will endeavour to post more ideas on how to make keto simple, so you can lose body fat, get stronger, or both.

Here's my breakfast. It's 2 soft boiled eggs on a piece of sourdough toast, with lashings of butter, and a side of mushrooms & asparagus in a cheesy cream sauce.

This breakfast contains plenty of protein, loads of fats for my energy, and a few carbs to make the eggs taste better.

Some people might freak out about the sourdough toast, but it's practically my only carbs for the day, and it makes the eggs taste delicious.

Keto isn't zero carb, it's low carb (toast is a carbohydrate). Choose your carbs wisely and you can still enjoy a piece of toast for breakfast!

Who says a healthy meal takes ages to prepare! With the right planning, a good meal takes only a few minutes. My air fryer is my best piece of equipment. These lamb chops cooked while I was in the shower (after my gym workout). I cooked them at 180 degrees C for 15 minutes. The salad is all cold stuff from the fridge and pantry and took 5 minutes to assemble.

Losing weight doesn't mean starving yourself! In fact, most calorie restriction diets have been proven to fail in the long run, and make you miserable and hungry in the short run 😅.

The biggest difficulty I find with new people starting a low carb, Keto style diet is how much fat people are expected to eat.

This comes after 50 years of being brainwashed that fat is bad for us.

Once you cut carbohydrates (bread, pasta, potatoes, crisps, sugar as examples) out of your daily diet, your body needs energy. Carbohydrates have probably been your energy source all your life. The keto diet asks you to swap that for fat, so fat becomes your energy source.

This has so many positive health implications. The difference in how you feel is incredible, but only if you do it properly. So many people get it wrong because they still sneak carbohydrates and don't eat enough fat.

If you are struggling with keto, it's most likely because you aren't eating enough fat each day. Oh, and ice cream contains fat, but also loads of sugar!

Fatty meats, butter, cheese, avocado 🥑, olives 🫒, olive oil, lard, bacon, salami, yoghurt, and even full-fat cream.

About half the food you eat in terms of weight (grams or ounces) should be fat. The other half should be mainly proteins and then a few carbohydrates, like a bit of fresh salad.
