🌸🎨 Today, as we celebrate the vibrant festival of Holi, we are reminded that colours are not just meant for our clothes or our streets, they are meant for our spirits.
Holi is often described as a festival of joy, unity, and renewal. We gather with loved ones, we forgive, we laugh, we let go. We smear colour onto each other as a symbol that, beyond status, struggle, or separation, we are one 🤝✨
But what if this Holi, we also chose to bring colour back into the spaces within us that have faded silently?
The pressure to succeed, to provide, to appear strong, to never admit vulnerability, weighs heavily on millions. Too often, emotional pain is dismissed as weakness. Too often, depression is mistaken for laziness. Too often, anxiety is hidden behind forced smiles. 💭
Holi teaches us something profound: darkness does not last. Just as winter gives way to spring, heaviness can give way to healing. 🌼 But healing begins with awareness. It begins when we accept that the mind, like the body, deserves care. That seeking help is not shameful — it is courageous. 💛 That asking “Are you really okay?” and truly listening can save a life.
The colours of Holi symbolise the spectrum of human emotion. Red for strength. Yellow for hope. Green for renewal. Blue for calm. Every shade has meaning, just like every feeling has validity. We do not need to erase sadness to celebrate joy. We can hold both. We can acknowledge pain while still choosing connection.
Master Divine calls upon us today to expand the spirit of Holi beyond celebration, to transformation.
As we wash off the colours tonight, may we not wash away this awareness. May we carry it forward, into our families, workplaces, temples, schools, and communities. Because a society truly becomes vibrant not when its streets are colourful for a day, but when its people feel safe, seen, and supported every day.
Wishing everyone a Holi filled with light, healing, and the courage to prioritise mental well-being.
