🌞 What a fantastic weekend we had here at Alderbrook for our Summer BBQ! 🌭🍔

We were thrilled to welcome residents and their loved ones for a joyful day full of sunshine, laughter, and community spirit. 🥰

A special thank you to Well-being With Animals for bringing the wonderful Mabel the therapy dog and Wendy the pony – they were a huge hit and brought so many smiles! 🐶🐴💕

Our entertainment was in full swing with the incredible Emma James, who had everyone toe-tapping, singing along, and even joining in for a fun-filled YMCA dance session – with our amazing volunteers leading the way! 🎤💃🕺

Thank you to everyone who joined us – we’re already planning the next one! 🌼✨

🌞 Planting, Pots & Sunshine! 🌸🌿

Following our lovely trip to Leeds Garden Centre, our residents at Alderbrook Care Home spent a beautiful sunny afternoon in the garden — planting flowers, nurturing their growing strawberry plant, and soaking up the warm weather.

There was laughter, conversation, and a true sense of togetherness as everyone worked side by side to bring our garden to life. It was a shared moment of creativity, connection and joy.

Moments like these remind us that gardening is more than just growing plants — it’s about growing friendships and creating a space that brings us all closer.

🌻 A Blooming Lovely Day Out! 🌿

Some of our lovely residents at Alderbrook recently enjoyed a refreshing trip to Leeds Garden Centre, where they picked out a beautiful selection of flowers and plants to brighten up our garden!

With smiles all round and green thumbs at the ready, everyone enjoyed choosing their favourites — including some vibrant sunflowers to add a splash of sunshine and colour to our outdoor space.

We can’t wait to see our garden bloom over the summer!

to an unforgettable trip out! 🎭✨

Our wonderful activity team recently took residents from Alderbrook to Leeds Theatre to enjoy the timeless musical Les Miserables. The smiles say it all — a fantastic experience shared by all!

Residents at Alderbrook recently enjoyed a trip to the Royal Armouries Museum in Leeds.

Residents found the visit very interesting, looking at the different displays including Henry VIII's armour.

They also enjoyed a wild west gun show where they learnt about weaponry used in the past.

It was a really interesting day out and everyone had a really good time.

Alderbrook's Easter Fun Day was a huge success.
Everyone who attended enjoyed a lovely Easter lunch together in our warm and welcoming bistro area, along with a variety of Easter activities and then of course, savouring their Easter eggs.

Residents enjoyed a recent visit from Teddy and Mable and it was a fur ball of fun!

Everyone enjoyed the energy Teddy and Mable brought to the home as well as the cuddles and fuss.

The benefits of pet therapy are endless, reducing stress, anxiety, mood, lowering blood pressure and many more.

Teddy and Mable left a lasting impresssion and lifted everyone's mood ❤

Residents at Alderbrook marked the First day of Spring with a trip to the garden centre to purchase some spring plants for potting. Residents chose a medley of colours, pansies and perennials.

Everyone enjoyed the activity and now to nurture these lovely plants into a show of beautiful colour for spring.
