Today's session with the incredible Iris at her home was a beautiful reminder of why I love my work. At 90 years young, she is vibrant, sharp, and truly an inspiration—I honestly wouldn’t have believed her age if she hadn’t told me!
We had a lovely chat before her treatment, where she shared stories from her life. It turns out she used to live in Harehills, and as we talked, we made the most amazing connection: she knew my Dad, Stephen who sadly passed away four years ago. She used to visit his butcher's shop 'George Stephenson' in Harehills! To hear her speak fondly of him was a truly special, full-circle moment that I’ll always cherish.
For her treatment, we combined reflexology, Manual Lymphatic Drainage, and light therapeutic massage, tailored perfectly to her needs. It’s a privilege to adapt my practice for every individual who walks in—from young children to wonderful clients like Iris.
I feel so lucky that my job allows me to connect with and support such a diverse range of people, adjusting every technique, pressure, and approach to ensure they feel their best. It’s not just about the treatments; it’s about the stories, the connections, and the trust.
