In August, 161 patients used our Friends & Family questions to tell us about their experiences at the practice. 92% of these were Positive or Neutral. Comments show that many patients are pleased at how quickly we can offer appointments. Some responses tell us we can still improve how we communicate about the patient journey through our services. PLEASE NOTE that Friends & Family submissions are anonymous, so we will not be able to respond to you directly! Thanks, A&W MC.

GP practices, which used to be made up of only GPs and receptionists, are now made up of many different roles.

You might have a medication review with a Clinical Pharmacist, or speak to a Physiotherapist for advice on a joint problem. You might have an appointment with the Respiratory nurse about your inhalers, or you can always see a GP in person or on the phone. You might chat to a Social Prescriber for help with feeling lonely, or the GP might recommend referring you to the community pharmacist about a UTI, under their ‘Pharmacy First’ service.

It might feel complicated, but so is our health!

Remember to exercise... your right to vote.
There are local elections across Leeds TODAY!
Choices made at all levels of government affect the services we can provide in GP practices.

On Thursday, 2 May 2024 residents across the Leeds City Council area will go to the polls to have their say on the West Yorkshire Combined Authority Mayoral election and who represents them at local council.

We know that GP appointments are a national hot topic; know that we are doing everything we can to match the increasing demand on primary care, though this does mean working in different ways.
Good to see the numbers reflecting this!

"GP teams are already delivering record numbers of appointments with the latest figures from February 2024 showing that more than 30 million appointments were delivered, up almost a quarter on the same period pre-pandemic."
