As part of her role as Vice President of the West & North Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce, Aqila met the amazing Fundraising team at St Gemma’s Hospice in Leeds.

The sponsored event gave a chance for their incredible volunteers to share their stories and experiences, and Susie Webb stood out for Aqila, Susie is embarking on an incredible fundraising journey. Please read Susie’s story below and consider supporting her;

“On the 11th September 2025 I will be flying to Tanzania to complete a 7 day trek to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro. The trek is 5 days up to the summit and 2 days back down. This is going to be one of the hardest challenges I'll have ever done but I am excited for the challenge and once in a lifetime experience.

I am raising money for St Gemma's as this was my mum's chosen hospice when she was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer. Unfortunately she didn't get the chance to be there but I'm doing this for all the families that will need St Gemma's help.

My fundraising goal is £5,500 which covers the cost of the trek and also a significant donation for St Gemma's.” - Susie Webb.
