I had a very emotional day in clinic retiring after 30 years in the Acupuncture profession.

I have had a such a rewarding, fulfilled and happy career that I am quite sad to be finishing. But I am finishing on a high note and looking forward to lots of travel, learning Spanish, enjoying pottery and jewellery making, cooking, tending my garden and allotment, lots of house projects plus of course spending quality time with my family and friends. You see I really have no time to work…..

I was surprised at the end of the day with a visit by Kate and Laura plus Rachael thoughtfully popped in having worked with me for 14 years in the clinic. I saw many fabulous Acupuncture clients including the most amazing Helene who I have seen for over 25 years and Rebecca who always makes me smile.

I have had a privileged career having had the pleasure to support so many lovely and incredible people.

Since I announced my retirement I have had an enormous amount of heartfelt messages and baby visits.

I have felt very honoured by all the thoughtful cards and gifts that I have received from clients, friends and family. Thank you all it is appreciated and means a lot.

I am delighted that Kate and Laura will be continuing in the same supportive way in clinic with you all.

Plenty of parking is available locally in the small car park opposite the clinic or further down the road on New Road Side.

The years have flown by since I started working in clinic with Rachael over 13 years ago.

Today it’s time to say goodbye to our time together in clinic and hello to continuing to meet up as friends.

Rachael is moving on to be able to devote more time to her thriving Acupuncture clinics in Yarm and Nothallerton

We have loved every minute of our time with Rachael who brings a special caring energy. Kate and I will miss her around but are excited to hear all Rachael’s forthcoming plans.

I am very excited to be introducing our new practitioner Laura.

Laura provides thoughtful, personalised Acupuncture treatments tailored to each person’s needs. She takes a clear evidence-based approach to Acupuncture,aiming to support each person with practical, effective care that addresses both the root cause and the symptoms of their health concerns.

Laura has a particular interest in women’s health and fertility. Enjoying supporting women through hormone transitions.

She has spent 16 years working as a paramedic giving her extensive experience of frontline emergency care and a deep understanding of both the physical and emotional aspects of health and wellbeing.

Her transition into Acupuncture reflected a desire to work more holistically, helping people to find balance and long-term wellness.

We all offer Laura a warm welcome and are delighted to have her as part of our team.

We are always looking for ways to best support our clients which includes working alongside a network of experienced practitioners.

Many people are dealing with complex health issues or issues underlying their fertility journey which can benefit from additional support.

I am delighted to introduce Jill Storstein who will be offering Functional Nutrition Therapy for our clients.

I met Jill many years ago whilst studying for an Advanced Diploma in Fertility Acupuncture. She specialises in women’s health and fertility support.

Jill is an Acupuncturist and Functional Nutritional Therapist working from her clinic in Aberfeldy, Scotland. She is offering support by video call to our clients.

Great day in clinic with the sun shining outside.

I had the pleasure of spending time with Laura a third year Acupuncture degree student. Laura is a paramedic and currently studying at the Northern College of Acupuncture.

I had a busy day supporting people in preparation for frozen and fresh IVF cycles, natural fertility and PCO.

In addition women’s health and perimenopause, PMS, back pain some more complicated health issues.

Thank you to everyone who was happy for a student to observe in clinic. It’s always good to offer support and encouragement along our learning journeys.

I fully embraced such an amazing time in Mexico City and Puerto Escondido. We all need to take time out to experience life’s adventures in whatever form that takes.

Having had 3 weeks away from work which is a first for me, it was great to be back in clinic this week doing what I love and still enjoy so much.

Rachael and Kate have been really busy doing a great job as always. They are an amazing team to work with for which I am very grateful.

We have a couple of openings for new clients from early August.

Thanks for my lovely Acupuncture Fertility buddies for an amazing weekend in Berwick. Inspirational as well as lots of fun. We came from the north of England, Scotland and Ireland for the weekend. These guys know their stuff!!
Lots of professional sharing and CPD, walks, food and of course a cocktail or two….. not forgetting fields full of swans!!
