Meningitis B vaccination will continue to be offered to the target population group as per the national immunisation schedule. Those eligible can have an NHS vaccination. If those falling outside the target population wish to consider vaccination this can be done privately via community pharmacies.

Dear Patients of Ireland Wood and New Croft surgeries,

We have reached the maximum number of routine medical problems that we can safely manage today.
We will be available for routine requests as normal from 6.30 am on the next weekday.
In the meantime if you have an acute urgent medical problem help and advice is available from 111, the walk in centre, pharmacy, minor injuries unit -You can also contact the surgery reception by phone where necessary.
A&E/999 for emergencies .
Routine administrative and nursing requests eg vaccine requests can still be submitted.

As you may be aware, we have recently undergone a change in booking system that means our receptionists are no longer able to book patients in with a GP directly; each patient must complete a form via Anima in order to receive a GP appointment.

Please note that forms requesting a GP appointment via Anima will be aimed to be actioned on the same day if possible. We request that patients only send forms on a day that you would be available to attend the practice. All forms requesting a GP appointment will receive a follow up phone call. If your form is submitted later in the day, the call you receive may come the next morning. If contact has been attempted multiple times with no response, your case may be closed.

This is only the case for GP appointments, appointment bookings for nurses, health care assistants and physiotherapists have remained the same.
