We welcome submissions (up to 350 words) from and currently undertaking projects who do not have results available at this time but will be in a position to present the results at the time of the conference.

We're counting down to the Abstract Submission deadline for the CASES Conference 2026!

Please submit your abstracts by 10am on Monday 26 January for your chance to present at our flagship event in June!

The 2026 CASES Conference combines the Annual Conference and the Student Conference and aims to be the national learning and networking experience in 2026 that will be the ‘go to’ event for academics, practitioners, students, and those working across the sport and exercise sector.

Abstract submissions and delegate early bird registration are now open for the two-day conference that will take place The Manchester Metropolitan University on Wednesday 3 and Thursday 4 June 2026.

The CASES Conference awards seek to reward outstanding contributions to sport and exercise sciences by conference delegates.

Abstract submissions are invited in the following sport and exercise science-related themes and must be submitted by 10am on Monday 26 January 2026 via the Abstract Submission portal:

We are pleased to announce that Clinical Exercise Physiology UK (CEP-UK), an Advisory Group of CASES, has been accepted as a new member of the Academy for Healthcare Science Professional Bodies Council (PBC).

The AHCS Professional Bodies Council was established as the senior council to provide a high-level strategic discussion forum on healthcare policy, scientific leadership and horizon-scanning of issues that may affect the whole of the Healthcare Science workforce.

The Chartered Association of Sport and Exercise Sciences (CASES) has released a major new resource designed to support Sport and Exercise Scientists in understanding and applying artificial intelligence (AI) responsibly and effectively.

'The CASES Resource on Artificial Intelligence' is intended for professionals at all levels—from those new to AI to those already proficient—and provides practical insights alongside links to over 20 AI tools relevant to the sector.

Eight authors from across the CASES membership, with a wealth of knowledge and wide range of experience worked together to research and review the evolving AI landscape in Sports and Exercise Science.

Professor Graeme Close FCASES (Liverpool John Moores University and CASES Fellow) will discuss the translation of research into elite practice, drawing on his work with the British and Irish Lions and other high-performance programmes. Using the Paper to Podium framework, he will highlight how evidence is integrated into real-world decision making.

👉Lessons from a Lifetime of Elite Level Strength and Conditioning Support
