Looking to a new career? One that allows you to help others while generate a good income? This gives people the confidence & competence in what they do.

This is a 10 month fully accredited course that gives you the potential to earn 2 hypnotherapy diplomas. Each diploma on its own allows you to work in the UK as a hypnotherapist. The course consists of 10 weekend modules and you are able to pay as you learn. It is a very practical course, that encourages you to practice on people with real conditions throughout. As a result they are much more likely to go on to become hypnotherapists after the course. The course is based on the latest brain research & neuroscience, so we teach what works best. The qualifications you are able to achieve are the HPD & DSFH. The HPD (Hypnotherapy in Practice Diploma) is verified as a level 4 qualification on the National Vocational Framework. This qualification tests your understanding of key concepts & provides evidence of your ability. The DSFH (Diploma In Solution Focused Hypnotherapy) focuses on the practical elements of the course & tests your ability to practice the skills taught. The course is run by Jenny Mellenchip, Caron Iley & Lynda Phillips, three experienced trainers & award winning hypnotherapists. All tutors run busy hypnotherapy practices so their knowledge is very current and they can relate what your learning to real world examples. Jenny's marketing background also enables her to give you good sound advice on what works. Saving you from making expensive mistakes when building your practice.

While hypnotherapy is not currently statutorily regulated, there are clear professional standards that reputable practitioners choose to follow.

Accredited training, recognised qualifications, ethical codes, supervision and professional membership all help ensure that practitioners are trained to a high standard and work responsibly.

The Hypnotherapy in Practice Diploma (HPD) is a nationally recognised qualification benchmarked against Ofqual standards and accredited through NCFE, giving students confidence that they are working towards a respected professional qualification.

A common concern when considering training is whether you’ll feel confident working with real clients.

At CPHT Leeds, practical experience starts early. After the first teaching weekend, students begin practising with real people, initially friends and family, before gradually working with clients outside their personal network as confidence builds.

Every course weekend combines structured teaching with practical exercises, allowing lecturers to observe, guide and support students as they develop their skills. Ongoing supervision is provided throughout the course, with lecturers available both during training weekends and between modules to offer advice and reassurance.

The aim is simple: learn by doing, with the right level of support at every stage.

CPHT training is designed to build real-world practitioner skills, not just theoretical knowledge.

Every month includes practical, face-to-face training where lecturers observe your work and give supportive feedback to help you improve. You’ll begin seeing volunteer clients from your first weekend and keep short reflection logs after each session to build awareness and confidence.

Students also take part in monthly group supervision to discuss challenges and successes, helping keep both you and your volunteer clients safe and supported.

Assessment includes case histories, a consultation presentation, and a portfolio, with guidance throughout and flexible submission options for students with additional needs, including audio or video formats.
