Did you know that Grove House has been a sanctuary for healing for over a hundred years?

Long before it joined the Springfield Healthcare family, this historic site served a vital role as a Voluntary Aid Detachment (VAD) hospital during the First World War.

These walls have always been a place of restoration and hope. We are proud to continue that legacy of expert medical attention and compassionate care today.

We always have a blast at Springfield care home with our Silent Disco! A huge shout-out to Janet, who didn't miss a beat and kept the energy high, making sure everyone had a fantastic time.

It was wonderful to see our residents grabbing their headsets and dancing along to their favorite hits. Music is such a brilliant way to boost moods and stay active, and Janet certainly knows how to get the party started!

We're often asked how we make our care homes feel so much like home, and the reason is without a doubt down to Graeme our founder and Chairman.

"My mum and dad had a small care home in east Leeds, where I grew up. Every time we welcomed a new resident, I would move bedrooms. Those are the abiding memories I have of my childhood. I thought it was normal to watch TV in the evenings with seven old ladies.

I grew up with a real empathy for older people. When I was a teenager, I worked in the family care home to let mum have a lie in on Saturdays. That was fantastic because I chatted to the residents, asked what they wanted and made their breakfast.

I realised from a young age how amazing older people are. Often, the people who don't brag about their lives and keep themselves to themselves have incredible stories to tell. But you wouldn't know unless you asked. I also saw how vulnerable they were."

This ethos and mentality trickles down throughout our teams, from the care teams to those designing and creating new homes.
