They are hosting an event in Leeds city centre on 14th May (10:00 - 14:30) for people with experience of social care for older people (either themselves or through a relative or friend). We had a lovely time at our Mad Hatters Tea Party today. The story of Alice in Wonderland is about the strangeness of growing up and the changes we all go through. We had fun remembering being taller or shorter than everyone at school.

Our NEW MAEC-Friends groups. Do you want to make new friends?
Have you recently retired or your circumstances have changed? It's good to make new connections and try new things to keep ourselves active. MAEC-Friends is about putting like minded people in touch with each other, Organising an initial meet up and the rest is up to you. You could meet for coffee, go for lunch or even go to the cinema, the choices are endless. To find out more come along to MAECare on 24th March, or ring the office 0113 2660371.

MAECare (Moor Allerton Elderly Care) was formed in 1995 by Churches Together in Moor Allerton and Shadwell. In 2008 we became independent although we still maintain strong links with local churches.

Our goals are:


  • To improve the quality of life for local older people who are over 60 regardless of religion, belief, race, disability, gender or sexual orientation.
