Important information about accessing Mounjaro (tirzepatide)

We’re aware of recent media coverage about the weight loss treatment Mounjaro (tirzepatide).

This medication is being rolled out gradually across the NHS in a phased way. That means not everyone who may benefit will be able to get it right away.

At first, it will only be offered to people with serious health risks linked to their weight. If you are eligible, the NHS will contact you directly.

With the hot weather set to continue today and over the weekend we would like to remind patient to keep safe in hot weather and the sun by following the advice below:
Take regular breaks in the shade to prevent sunburn or heatstroke
Drink enough water
Use plenty of sunscreen – re-applying regularly
Follow water safety guidance and avoid swimming in bodies of water
Look out for your vulnerable loved ones and neighbours
