A very informative listening project focus group at West Leeds RUFC.

Armley Helping Hands are leading the listening project in Wortley and Farnley as the local community anchor to understand the priorities, hopes, and concerns of local residents,

Our ambition is to share the outcome of the focus groups, with a view to influence decision makers in improving access to meaningful employment, reducing inequalities, and addressing local needs.

Amongst the fun and celebration, Christmas is a difficult time for many and it is often hard to know how to hold the pain of grief and loss this time of year.
Our thoughts are with all who are grieving - especially those for whom a first Christmas, or another Christmas, without their loved ones brings heartache more than jollity.
If this is you, know our Bereavement Cafe will be meeting this week - Friday 2nd January to provide a safe space to be yourself. The doors open at 1.30pm (till 3pm) and all who are grieving are welcome. Free drinks and cake.

A BIG THANK YOU TO BIG DAVE!!!

Here's our latest addition to the team, some of you may have met Big Dave already. Dave has joined us from the Ableworld UK team where he's spent the last 10 years going from store-to-store whipping everyone into shape. Dave does it all... Store, Stairlifts, Engineering, you name it, he does it. He loves being out and about in the community, a real people person 😀😃😄😁

Today he loaded up and took half of our shop along to support the local ladies and gentlemen who attended the Armley Helping Hands 30th birthday celebrations at the White Rose Banqueting Suite. I've been told he may have left his post for 5 minutes to grace the dancefloor - rumour has it that DAVE CAN BOOGIE 🕺
