Today the lovely Florence and her family were finally discharged from ward L40 after spending the first 5 months of her life in hospital. It has been a pleasure to get to know Florence and her family and we wish them all the best for the future 💕x

This week marks the end of an era as our wonderful play leader Jane starts her retirement after 38 years working accross the children’s wards.
Jane will be missed by her colleagues, the patients and families and we wish her all the best for the future x

After a long 6 months is was finally Ruby’s turn to be discharged home today! Ruby, along with our other patients has brightened up ward L40 every day with her smile, infectious laugh and great sense of humour. Enjoy quality time at home Ruby and family x

Today is World Stoma Day! Ruby and Matilda plus their families have come from L40 to join in the activities (and food!!) provided by the amazing stoma team and Leeds Hospital Charity. We also bumped into our old friend Katie whilst there! The girls have all had a lovely time and even met The Stoma Guy from Instagram!!

Our super brave gastro team completed their abseil yesterday! You are all looking very festive despite the cold we’re sure you felt up there!!

They have almost raised £3000 between them all, any last minute donations will be greatly appreciated 👏🏼
