Get to know the Volvo FH Aero.

The Camera Monitoring System improves the aerodynamics of the truck to save energy. On top of that, it also opens up your visual field in both good and challenging conditions. Night vision helps the driver in dark conditions and the surveillance mode lets the driver see outside the truck even when the curtains are drawn.

R.R. Andrews take delivery of their 2nd new Volvo FH Aero 500.

The new addition features leather seats, under bunk fridge, microwave, I-Shift gearbox, Durabright alloys, single line hydraulics and all finished off with premium chassis paint and RR Andrews distinctive livery. R.R. Andrews specialise in the bulk transportation of aggregate, construction, industrial and agricultural products.

We would like to extend our thanks to Russ and the team at R.R. Andrews for once again turning to Crossroads to supply.

Justin Rushton (left) our Operations Director receives his 25 years’ service award from our Managing Director, Ian Middleton.

Justin started with the company at the age of 16 as an apprentice; he qualified as an HGV Technician and served his time on the workshop floor before moving into a Workshop Controller role. After several promotions, Justin has worked his way up through the organisation from Service Manager, Depot Manager, Regional Operations Manager to the role he holds today as one of our company directors.

Reflecting on his 25 years service, Justin says: “I am surrounded by a fantastic team here at Crossroads, and my route to the current role I have today, is not unique within our organisation. Many of our depot managers, parts and workshop supervisors started off as apprentices and have grown with the company, the possibilities for development are endless. I am grateful to the team we have and our customers for making my 25 years both enjoyable and challenging and I look forward to the opportunities that lie ahead”.

As an organsiation, we value the experience and knowledge that growing up within the business brings and we celebrate both career development and loyalty no matter what position you hold.

Joining the fleet at Collett & Sons Ltd.

The Volvo FH tag axle features our Globetrotter cab, 540hp engine, Volvo engine brake, crawler gears, fuel package, drive extended package plus a few home comforts for the driver…. sleep & resting package, comfort driver’s seat, fridge, and microwave. The truck has been finished off with the enhanced complete paint package and Collett’s striking livery.

We would like to extend our thanks to the team at Collett & Sons for once again placing their trust in Crossroads and the Volvo product.

The crane was supplied and installed by the team at CCT.

JG Pears have taken delivery of three new Volvo FH Aeros, further strengthening their fleet with the latest in fuel-efficient technology.

“A key factor in our decision was the excellent service and support provided by Crossroads, alongside the opportunity to trial a demonstration vehicle, prior to placing an order, which clearly demonstrated the fuel savings achievable with the Volvo Aero. This hands-on experience, combined with Crossroads’ reputation for dependable aftersales care, gave us the confidence to invest in these latest additions to our fleet.” Says Andrew Bostock Group Logistics Director

These vehicles come fitted with the 460 Turbo Compound engine, I-Shift gear box, under bunk fridge and GSR2 safety pack.
