Acupuncture has been refined and developed in the East over 2,000 years and can be enjoyed on its own or used to compliment and support Western medica

Every day Jade Centre patients tell us we offer hope, warmth and a way forward, supporting your journey back to better health and wellbeing. Some people want to try acupuncture for help with specific conditions or symptoms. Acupuncture also has a significant and holistic effect on patients’ mood and state of relaxation. The Jade Centre has an excellent track record of safe, positive management of conditions, providing relief and comfort. Our specialisms include complementary treatments for male and female fertility. We also offer facial rejuvenation acupuncture – a non-surgical, anti-ageing facelift procedure. The Jade Centre clinic is owned by Louise Attwood a member of the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC) and qualified nurse (RGN). Louise has been practising acupuncture professionally since 1990. Louise is also a Chinese herbalist and member of the Register of Chinese Herbal Medicine (RCHM.) She is passionate and knowledgeable about her practice and respects individual needs, providing a bespoke, quality service.

Acupuncture Awareness Week

This week, I want to shine a light on the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC) the professional body that sets the standard for safe, high-quality acupuncture practice in the UK.

As a BAcC-registered acupuncturist, I follow a strict code of safe practice, ethics and continual professional development. That means every treatment at The Jade Centre is delivered with care, precision and a deep respect for both traditional wisdom and modern evidence.

Acupuncture is powerful, but it’s also a profession that deserves trust. The BAcC helps ensure that when you book with a registered practitioner, you’re in safe and experienced hands.

So, as we celebrate Acupuncture Awareness Week, I want to say a big thank you to the British Acupuncture Council for the important work they do in promoting high standards, educating the public, and helping people experience the real benefits of acupuncture.
