Last week was full of memory-making moments! Here’s what we got up to...

We kicked things off with our monthly Friendship Lunch at a local pub, complete with fantastic live vocals from Davie 🎤🎼

Our residents got creative decorating buns and biscuits, and we even made a start on our decorations for Spanish Day in October 🪇🇪🇸

We wrapped up the week with a lovely trip to the local garden centre, where we enjoyed coffee and cake together ☕🍰

Wow what a transformation!

A beautiful, accessible, secure garden for all of our residents to enjoy. Thank you to everyone for their patience and hard work during the renovations.

Last week was another busy one here! Here's what our lovely residents got up to:

Enjoyed our weekly Knit & Natter group

Had a lovely visit from some animals 🐍

Got creative with a fun painting session 🎨

Took a trip to a local village for a lovely coffee & craft morning ☕

Tried our hand at some beautiful flower arranging 🌸

Played Bingo and lots of other fun games 🎲

And were treated to a wonderful performance by Carole and Andy, who sang for us 🎤🎼

All in all it was a great week 😀

Last week was packed with fun here at Meadowbrook!

We enjoyed an energetic fitness session led by Bailey, whose enthusiasm truly lit up the room. Archie also visited for another round of chair exercises. The residents had a fantastic time.

Trish paid us a lovely visit and spent time reminiscing about holidays gone by, sparking warm memories for our lovely residents.

Throughout the week, our creative spirits were flowing as we enjoyed a variety of hands-on activities — from crafting, painting, knitting, and cross stitching to fun games in our beautiful new garden area. We also had a delightful outing to our local high street.

To top off the week, Friday brought a splash of fun with homemade cocktails and mocktails — a huge hit with our residents and a perfect way to wind down the week in style!

What an amazing Summer Garden Party we had here at Meadowbrook last week!
We brought the beach to our brand-new outdoor space for a fabulous Beach Day ☀️🌴🍦🍭

Residents, families, friends, and staff all enjoyed a sunny day filled with seaside food, sweet treats, fun games and singing . It was heartwarming to see everyone come together to make such special memories.

Finishing off a lovely week with some Bun & Biscuit decorating!

This week has been full of fun and fantastic activities, including:

🎤 An amazing Elvis tribute act that had everyone singing along
🐐 A lovely trip to the farm where we met some gorgeous animals
🎶 A heartwarming sing-along session with Mark
🐠 An exciting visit to Tropical World
🌸 Beautiful flower arranging and some creative painting

We made the most of the sunshine last week, with a lovely outing to Wetherby, where we enjoyed a relaxing lunch down by the river.

We also had some very special visitors arrive at Meadowbrook—both furry and scaly! Our residents loved meeting our animal guests, with Socks the snake proving to be a surprising favourite.

The ice-cream van also visited us.

Back indoors, we got creative with some hands-on activities, including Play-Doh modelling, jigsaws, cross-stitch, and knitting. It was such a fun and engaging week for us all.

Another Busy Week at Meadowbrook!

Our residents enjoyed chair exercises led by Archie—there were plenty of smiles and stretches all around. We were also treated to a fantastic singing session from the lovely Alan and Davey, which had everyone clapping and singing along.

Games galore kept spirits high throughout the week. We enjoyed shopping out in the community and we were delighted to receive a stunning donation of flowers from our local M&S Foodhall - The Springs Leeds The blooms brightened up our dining area and brought smiles to all!
