We kept busy last week!

For Remembrance Day, we enjoyed a lovely performance from Cats Pyjamas. We also crafted our very own poppies to wear and display.

We had our usual Knit and Natter group, played Bingo, and did some flower arranging for our dining tables.

To finish off the week, we had a wonderful trip to Tingley Garden Centre to see the Christmas displays and enjoyed a lovely coffee in the café area.

✨ A Special Day at Meadowbrook ✨

Yesterday was such a special day here at Meadowbrook! We’ve recently started our very own Wish Tree for our wonderful residents, and we’re thrilled to share that we’ve just fulfilled our very first wish.

Our lovely resident wished to see a Neil Diamond tribute — and we delivered! 🎶 Thanks Davey for a great show!

Here’s to many more wishes coming true! 🌟

We’ve been busy over the last few days – here’s a little peek at what we’ve been up to!

🧶 We joined in with our Knit and Natter group and did some lovely cross-stitching.
💪 We kept active with some fun exercise sessions with Jody and Dave.
🎲 There’s always time for games – plenty of Bingo and other favourites!
🎨 We got crafty making decorations for Bonfire Night.
🌸Had a trip to the garden Centre
🚗 And if you haven’t seen it yet – ITV came to Meadowbrook to film some of our wonderful residents enjoying a thrilling ride in a McLaren and an Aston Martin!

A huge thank you to ITV and Granborghini for such a fantastic day – everyone had an amazing time! 💖

Our amazing visit from Granborghini was on the news!!

We are beyond grateful for the opportunity to take part in this. Our residents and day care visitor had the best time. Thank you so much!

🎃👻🧙‍♀️ Halloween Fun at Meadowbrook! 🧙‍♀️👻🎃

On Friday, we got into the spooky Halloween spirit here at Meadowbrook! Our home was filled with spooky surprises that our residents absolutely loved. We played games, decorated some frightfully fun buns, and had a singalong with our brand-new karaoke machine!

Our wonderful in-house cook prepared a marvelous Halloween-themed spread that everyone enjoyed. It was a fantastic day all around — full of laughter and plenty of spooky cheer!

🎃 Lots going on at Meadowbrook this week!🎃

Here’s a little peek at what we’ve been up to so far...

We’ve been getting ready for Halloween with some spooky painting for our displays, celebrated a resident’s birthday, played a few lively games of bingo, enjoyed a silent disco, and even had a singalong with our brand-new karaoke machine!

It’s been a fun-filled week — and there’s still more to come! 🎃👻

This Week at Meadowbrook has been a lovely week for our residents!

On Monday the residents enjoyed their usual Knit & Natter group.

On Tuesday Jodie joined us for some fun armchair exercises – great for keeping active.

On Wednesday, we enjoyed attending a local history meeting, learning fascinating stories from our community’s past and Mark treated us to a wonderful singalong session in the afternoon.

Yesterday we also had a delightful trip to the garden centre, Looking at all the new Christmas decoration displays. We also enjoyed a lovely coffee and cake in the cafe.

We’re incredibly proud to share some amazing news!

One of our dedicated carers, Lacey, was selected to play for the England U21's Rugby Team in their match against Australia last Friday — and they brought home a 22-18 victory! 🏉🇬🇧

Well done, Lacey, on this massive achievement. All the staff and residents are incredibly proud of you!

Barge Day Bliss 🚤🌿
On Tuesday, we enjoyed a delightful day out on a barge! Our residents had the chance to take the reins and even try their hand at steering, adding a bit of adventure to the day. We shared a lovely lunch on board and plenty of cups of tea while soaking up the beautiful scenery around us. It was such a beautiful day, we already cant wait to do it again in the summer!

Spanish Day at Meadowbrook! 🇪🇸 🇪🇸 🇪🇸 🇪🇸 🇪🇸

Monday brought a vibrant touch of Spain to Meadowbrook, as we celebrated Spanish Day! The home was beautifully decorated with colorful Spanish-themed crafts made by our talented residents.

Our amazing cook, Tanya, treated everyone to a delicious spread of traditional Spanish cuisine. To top it all off, we even made our own sangria — the perfect way to add a little fiesta to the day! 🇪🇸 🇪🇸
