Here’s a peek at some of the activities we’ve been enjoying over the last few weeks at Meadowbrook!

We headed out on a shopping trip to pick up new nail varnishes for our nail table and stopped off for a coffee along the way. We’ve had lots of fun playing Bingo, getting creative with flower arranging, and enjoying some pamper time with freshly painted nails.

Crafting sessions have kept our hands busy, and we were treated to a fantastic sing-along with Mark, who had everyone up dancing and smiling.

Lots going on at Meadowbrook!

We enjoyed a lovely coffee and catch-up at our favourite garden centre ☕🌿, a fantastic panto performance from Carole at Cats Pyjamas 🎭, and even made a start on our Valentine’s crafts ❤️.

We kept moving with chair exercises with Jody, got creative decorating biscuits 🍪, enjoyed a residents birthday🎂, and finished on a high dancing along to Lisa’s Motown & soul set 💃🕺 — what a week!

Here’s a peek at what our lovely residents have been up to over the last couple of weeks 💛

We’ve enjoyed our usual Knit and Natter group, where we’ve started some new patterns. The beautiful blanket we’ve all been working so hard on has finally been finished.

Everyone got crafty, and we enjoyed a few lively games of Bingo. Our carpet bowls sessions proved to be very popular and quite competitive.

Residents also enjoyed spending time doing puzzles, arranging lovely flowers for our dining table, and taking part in our regular chair exercises with Jodie, helping us stay active and smiling.

The lead-up to Christmas has been super busy at Meadowbrook, and we’ve loved every minute of it! Here are just a few of the things that have been happening over the last few days:

TikTok-famous Bailey visited us and delivered a fantastic exercise session that everyone really enjoyed.

M&S Foodhall at The Springs, Leeds kindly donated another beautiful bunch of flowers – thank you so much!

We got creative and crafted our own Christmas cards.

We were treated to people coming in to sing some lovely Christmas carols, which really helped to spread festive cheer.

There was plenty of fun with Bingo, games, and karaoke.

We enjoyed exercise sessions with Jody, and were even treated to a special performance from the children at her dance school – the girls were absolutely fantastic.

The Puss in Boots pantomime came to perform a wonderful show for our residents, and we even had our very own Princess Fiona, who fully got into character!
