🏃🏾‍♀️Our pharmacist Zara will be running the TCS London Marathon next month to raise money for a maternity unit in Malawi 🤍
In many parts of Malawi, expectant mothers have to walk incredibly long distances just to reach the nearest hospital. Sadly, some women even go into labour on the journey and give birth before they can get the care they need.

Zara is taking on the 26.2 mile challenge to help raise funds that support safer maternity care, better facilities and help protect the dignity of women during pregnancy and childbirth.

If you’d like to support this incredible cause (or simply cheer Zara on through the miles!), we’d be so grateful for any donation — big or small.

Symptoms of earwax build-up include:

👂hearing loss.

👂earache or a feeling that your ears are blocked.

👂ringing or buzzing in your ears (tinnitus).

👂vertigo (feeling dizzy and sick).

PRIVATE EAR WAX REMOVAL SERVICE AND EAR CHECK

❓How do I know if I have excess earwax?

➡️- Hearing loss is the most obvious sign that you may need to have wax removed from your ear. There are a few other slow-growing signs that you can look out for, especially if you have a history of compacted earwax.

➡️ - Ear pain

Usually resulting purely from pressure on the ear canal, if the wax has been pushed deep into the ear, the pain may come from direct pressure on the eardrum as well.

➡️ - Cough

This is actually caused by the hard wax pressing a nerve called the vagus nerve which runs along the ear. The pressure can excite the nerve and make you cough despite your throat being clear.

➡️- A ‘full’ ear

If the hard wax is pressing equally around the ear canal, then it is experienced as a sensation of fullness inside the ear.

‼️Flu Vaccine Clinic Delay:

Due to a nationwide delay, of the supply of flu vaccines, we are not receiving our allocation till Mid - October 2021.

We will keep you updated accordingly.

Summary of those who are recommended to have the flu vaccine:

• everyone aged 65 years and over

• everyone under 65 years of age who has a medical condition, including children and babies over 6 months of age.

• all pregnant women, at any stage of pregnancy.

• all 2 and 3- year-old children (provided they were aged 2 or 3 years old on 31 August of the current flu season).

• all children in primary school.

• all Year 7 to Year 11 secondary school-aged children • everyone living in a residential or nursing home.

• everyone who cares for an older or disabled person

• all frontline health and social care workers

Those aged 50 to 64 years old will also be offered flu vaccination this year.

➡️ For advice and information about the flu vaccination, speak to your pharmacist.

➡️ It is best to have the flu vaccination in
the autumn or early winter before any outbreaks of flu.

➡️ Remember that you need it every year, so don’t assume you are protected because you had one
last year.
