❤️🖤 Last Saturday we were very kindly joined by some of the Barratt and David Wilson homes, West Yorkshire team to help us give the war memorial in Morley a spruce up.

We massively appreciate them reaching out and asking how they could help in the build up to Remembrance Day.

A massive thank you to the VINT members and kids who also helped

Continuing to serve our community helps our veterans to recreate the pride they felt whilst serving our country which is not only beneficial for our community it’s beneficial for our mental health too.

We were so proud to be part of the Remembrance event this morning, it was amazing to see such a big crowd come together to pay their respects. Veterans, families, kids, and local groups all standing side by side… it really shows the strength of our community.

A huge thank you to everyone who came along and took the time to remember those who served and sacrificed. 🌺

Today, silence speaks louder than words.

We stop.

We remember.

The ones who never made it home.

Remembrance Day can stir up a lot. Pride. Pain. Love. Loss. If today feels heavy, please know you don’t have to carry it alone. Talk to someone who gets it. Reach out our inbox is always open.

We remember them and we stand beside every veteran still fighting quiet battles every day.

Remembrance Day is always a tough one.
I think about my friend the one I had the privilege to call my brother and the empty space he left behind.

His loss left a scar that will never fully fade, but I refuse to let it be in vain. In his memory, I strive every day to fight for better support for our veteran community.

When the country pauses to remember those whose faces they may not recognise, I take a moment to thank my friend for his sacrifice and to remind myself that feeling grief, sadness, and even anger is okay.

I stand shoulder to shoulder with all my brothers and sisters who find Remembrance Day challenging.

It’s important to remember but it’s equally important to know it’s okay to find the day hard.
It’s okay to step back.
It’s okay to handle remembrance in your own way.
