Patricia Stead Counselling

Patricia Stead Counselling Person-Centred Counsellor working with young people, adults and couples on a wide range of issues - offering online and telephone sessions.

Appointments are available weekday, evening and weekend.. As a counsellor I strive to provide a non-judgemental, understanding and honest relationship in a safe environment. I offer an opportunity to feel comfortable to talk through issues and explore and understand how you are feeling at your own pace. I have counselled in primary schools and also at a community college counselling students with a diverse range of issues. In addition to my private practice I was a volunteer for six years with Cruse Bereavement Care. I use an integrative counselling approach and draw from different models to meet the needs of the client - offering daytime, evening and weekend appointments. I have worked with children, young people and adults of all ages and backgrounds within the Health Authority. Local Authority and voluntary sector. As a tutor for adults with learning and other disabilities I facilitated groups on coping with stress and anger, self esteem and confidence building as well as relationships and bereavement. I am a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and work within their guidelines, codes of practice and ethics and I am presently working towards accreditation.
