Tuberous breast correction with asymmetry

This patient presented with tuberous breast shape and natural asymmetry, where breast development is restricted, particularly in the lower part of the breast.

Correction in cases like this requires more than implants alone. In this case, I used subtly different sized implants together with a bilateral Benelli mastopexy and careful breast tissue reshaping to achieve a more balanced, natural breast shape.

Every tuberous breast correction is planned individually. Implant choice, breast reshaping, and ar**la position all matter for a good long-term result.

Tuberous breast correction with asymmetry – tailored surgical planning

This patient presented with tuberous breast shape and natural asymmetry, a condition where breast development is restricted, particularly in the lower pole, and the breasts may appear uneven.

Correction in cases like this requires more than simply placing implants.

In this case I carried out:
• Breast augmentation using subtly different sized implants to address asymmetry
• Bilateral Benelli mastopexy to reshape the central breast and ar**la
• Targeted release and reshaping of breast tissue to allow natural lower pole expansion

The aim was a balanced, natural breast shape that fits the patient’s body, rather than an over-augmented look.

Every tuberous breast correction is different and must be planned individually. Implant choice, breast reshaping, and ar**la position all matter if a good long-term result is to be achieved.

If you are unsure what approach is right for you, a proper consultation is essential.

Oncoplastic breast surgery many years after breast cancer treatment

This patient had a left breast wide local excision for breast cancer, followed by radiotherapy more than 10 years ago. Over time she developed significant breast asymmetry, excess breast volume, sagging, and a visible contour defect related to the original cancer surgery and scarring.

She underwent bilateral breast reduction with lift and reshaping, carefully planned to restore balance, reduce breast size, and improve breast shape. Importantly, the previous cancer excision scar and defect on the left breast were removed and incorporated into the new incision pattern as part of the reconstruction.

Operating on breasts that have previously been treated with surgery and radiotherapy requires thoughtful planning, respect for tissue healing, and realistic goals. The focus here was not cosmetic enhancement, but restoration, symmetry, and long-term stability.

This case highlights how oncoplastic breast surgery can still make a meaningful difference many years after breast cancer treatment.

Oncoplastic breast surgery following previous breast cancer treatment

This patient had a left breast wide local excision for breast cancer, followed by radiotherapy over 10 years ago. Over time she was left with breast asymmetry, excess breast volume, sagging, and a persistent contour defect at the previous cancer excision site.

She underwent bilateral breast reduction with lift and reshaping, planned to restore symmetry, reduce breast size, and improve breast shape. As part of the incision planning, the old cancer-related scar and contour defect on the left breast were excised and incorporated into the reconstruction.

The aim was not cosmetic enhancement, but balance, proportion, and restoration following earlier cancer treatment, while respecting irradiated tissues and long-term stability.

Each case is planned individually, particularly where previous cancer surgery and radiotherapy have altered breast anatomy and healing behaviour. Thoughtful oncoplastic planning can make a significant difference many years after cancer treatment.

One-stage mastopexy augmentation – detailed case explanation

This patient underwent a single-stage mastopexy augmentation to address breast sagging, loss of upper pole volume, and shape imbalance following natural tissue changes over time.

Implants used were 190 cc moderate plus profile, deliberately chosen to restore projection and upper pole support without creating excessive weight or an artificial appearance. In mastopexy augmentation, implant size must be carefully matched to tissue quality and breast shape. Larger implants may initially look fuller but can compromise long-term stability, scar quality, and breast position.

The lift and implant were planned together, with attention to ni**le position, lower pole shape, symmetry, and how the breast envelope would behave once healing and settling begin. This combined planning is essential in one-stage surgery to achieve a predictable and durable result.

Photos are shown at 10 weeks post-operative. At this stage, the breasts are still settling. Further softening, scar maturation, and subtle contour refinement will continue over the coming months.

This case demonstrates that mastopexy augmentation is not about size, but about balance, proportion, and respecting the biology of the tissues to achieve a natural, long-lasting outcome.

One-stage mastopexy augmentation
190 cc moderate plus profile implants
Photos shown at 10 weeks post-op

This case demonstrates how a breast lift and carefully selected implant volume can be combined in a single operation to restore shape, projection, and balance without creating an over-augmented appearance.

The aim was not size, but proportion.
By addressing breast position and volume together, the result is a lifted breast shape with natural contours and improved symmetry.

At 10 weeks, the breasts are still settling and will continue to soften and refine over the coming months.

Every surgical plan is individual and based on anatomy, tissue quality, and long-term outcome, not trends. you are considering a breast lift with or without implants, careful planning matters.

Not every distorted breast implant is ruptured.

What you are seeing here is folding and deformation caused by long-standing capsulation, not a leak.

Understanding the difference matters when patients are making decisions about implant removal or replacement

Explantation with capsulectomy and mastopexy.

This patient presented with 20-year-old breast implants complicated by implant rupture, with silicone migration to a right axillary lymph node. She elected for implant removal and did not wish to replace them.

Given the risk of breast collapse and contour deformity with simple explantation, a planned bilateral explantation with capsulectomies was performed, combined with a mastopexy to restore breast shape using native tissue.

These images show the outcome at 3 months post-operative.
The implants and capsules have been removed, no implants remain in situ, and breast contour has been re-established without prosthetic replacement.

Explant surgery requires appropriate assessment, surgical planning, and technique to achieve both oncological safety and aesthetic restoration.

20-year-old implants removed safely.

This lady presented with implant rupture and silicone detected in a lymph node. She no longer wanted implants and wanted to avoid an unattractive shape after removal.

I performed explantation with capsulectomies, combined with a mastopexy to reshape her own breast tissue.

This is her result 3 months later.
No implants. No foreign material. A natural, balanced outcome.

Explant surgery is not just removal. It is about doing it properly.

Redo breast reduction and lift. She had a poor result return very quickly after surgery elsewhere.
