We welcomed the Sing and Smile Duo to Willowbank this week for a live performance of 50s and 60s tunes.

The people living with us loved singing and dancing along, and even doing some air guitar. We have a live performer every month in our home. Look out for posters for the next one!

Our Lifestyle Assistant is all set up and ready for today's pamper day at Willow Bank!

We do regular pamper days for the lovely ladies and gents who live with us for More...Relaxation. This includes manicures, hair styling, massages, facial hair removal, facials, aromatherapy and more!

Check the lifestyle planner for the next pamper date. Our hair dresser also visits our home every six weeks for additional services such as hair cuts, perms and colouring.

Willow Bank was pleased to welcome back the Manston Primary School choir to sing for those who live with us.

The children did a fantastic job singing together and even doing solos. Everyone at Willow Bank had a fantastic afternoon. We love bringing the community together in our home for More...Connection!

Our Myley Trips pilot has kicked off at Willowbank.

This summer we are taking those who live with us out to explore the great outdoors and get More...Fresh Air. We are doing 3 x half-day trips to local destinations chosen by those living with us in our most recent residents meeting - "You Said, We Did"

Look out for photos and videos of our first trip out to Temple Newsam farm. We will be going to Roundhay Park and Garforth Garden Centre in July and August. Ask the lifestyle team (we wear pink!) for more information when you're next visiting. Relatives/friends are welcome to join their loved ones on these trips.

We hope our visitors are enjoying the "rummage boxes" dotted around the home here at Willow Bank. If you haven't seen them yet - keep an eye out in reception, the lounge and the Bluebell lounge for white boxes with resources such as quizzes, colouring pages and More...Sensory activities in.

These have been introduced to help you to make the most of the time that you spend with your loved ones at Willow Bank, providing an activity to do together or to talk about when you visit.

We have received such positive feedback and we're pleased that relatives and friends are finding the resources that our Lifestyle team have provided useful and entertaining, making the time you spend here even more meaningful.

The rummage boxes are regularly updated with topical/seasonal resources, with the most recent addition being Father's Day colouring pages and a football quiz.

Keep an eye on the lifestyle noticeboard at reception for details of the next mindfulness, meditation and aromatherapy sessions - visitors are welcome to join their friends/family too.
