Carla, born on the East coast of England, United Kingdom, moved away from her family home to study Dance BA Honours Degree at the University of Leeds in 2008. After this she went on to pursue a career as a Freelance Pilates Instructor in the City of Leeds. During her 9 years of teaching, Carla began her Yoga studies and completed her 200hour Yoga Teacher Training with Yoga Hero in Leeds in Novembe
r 2019. In March 2020, due to Covid 19 all gyms had to close their doors and so Carla has been using this time during lockdown to continue her Yoga studies in Tantric Hatha Yoga, Advaita Vedanta, and Chakra Healing and would like to offer you some of the knowledge and experience that she has gained on her journey so far.

I was looking for purpose, meaning and understanding and all I had to do was open my eyes to see that Yoga was there saying "Hello, come in, the door is always open" π.
They say that what you are seeking is seeking you and that all of what you seek is within you.
Yoga has guided me towards; love during times of fear, acceptance during times of regret, kindness during times of anger, compassion during times of stress, truth during times of illusion, meaning during times of emptiness, purpose during times of sadness, understanding during times of confusion, connection during times of loneliness, freedom during times of worry, space during times of chaos, peace during times of struggle, gratitude during times of negativity.
It has helped me to recognise love and belonging that exists within. It is the light in the darkness.
The least I can do is give back. The fact that I enjoy teaching is a bonus.
I hope to guide others towards a sense of peace, openness and freedom that was so freely available to me.
Yoga helps me to realise and remember our true nature.
Who knows where the future may lead, for the time being I am.

Pilates: A series of slow, controlled movements that are designed to help you improve your posture, core strength and stability, flexibility, mobility, co-ordination, and balance.
Iβve been teaching Pilates in Leeds since January 2012 when I completed my Level 3 Certification. You will find my classes at a number of Gyms in Leeds including; Nuffield Health, The Village, The Edge, Virgin Active and Leeds Beckett. I also offer private office classes.
My classes are Mixed Level, beginners are always welcome.
I believe Pilates is all about finding balance and that will look different for everyone. If we can have just the right amount of challenge/intensity during our practise we may appreciate more the time dedicated to relaxation/stretching.
I hold a firm belief that anyone can do Pilates, but itβs not for everyone. Some people simply will hate it and thatβs fine. Itβs important to find something that feels right for you.
I also believe that Pilates has a lot to offer and there are many benefits you can get from regular practise.
