My Role in a Client's healing process

When clients have post treatment reactions, either positive or negative, we should put clear blue water between what we do as reflexologists and what the client's body chooses to do.

As a professional reflexologist I provide excellent reflexology which allows your body to do what it chooses todo. When there is a reaction, it is likely because there is something that needs to be let go. This is not my doing! I provided reflexology to your feet, and your body reacted.

This is the same when my clients reduce their back pain or achieve a pregnancy - we do not do it! They do! (And with pregnancy their husband has something to do with it too!)

Putting this perspective in place allows me to see past any guilt for causing issues or claims of causing positives, it shows me my place in their healing. We are the facilitators, they are the ones that cause the actions. And congratulations and well done is due to them when things change. That is their body doing what it needs to!
