I am grateful to have the opportunity to work with Palestinian evacuees in Qatar. Learning about their experiences has been heartbreaking 💔 As a psychological professional, I wish I could do more to help them. The trauma is continuous, and treatment needs to be adapted to make it idiosyncratic. I hope I am able to use my skills to make a difference, InshaAllah.

Today is World Mental Health Day. Thinking of the impact of the genocide in Palestine, the brutal attacks and bombings in Lebanon and Syria, the airstrikes launched on Yemen, the ongoing tragedies in Sudan and the overall dehumanisation of Arabs. The trauma is continuous and can severely impact an individuals mental health. I'm praying that the aggression ends to allow space for grieving and healing.
