Every war is a war against children.
The smallest hearts carry the heaviest burdens:
fear, loss, and trauma no child should ever know.
Their homes become battlegrounds, their sense of safety shattered, their development shaped by survival instead of security.
As a mother and a psychological professional, I cannot accept a world where innocence is the price of conflict. Trauma in early childhood does not end when the war does; it may live on in their nervous
systems, in their relationships, in the way they see the world and themselves.
This is not just a tragedy of war. It is the systematic destruction of childhood and a lifelong mental health crisis for all who suffer.
Children deserve safety, not sirens. Schools, not shelters. Love, not loss.
Stop the war. Protect their childhood.
