It’s a structured, supportive approach to strength and movement, designed to help you feel confident in your body, especially if you’ve experienced pain, injury, or flare-ups in the past.

Our Clinical Pilates (Pilates Gym) sessions focus on movement quality, joint control, posture, and progressive strength that supports long-term wellbeing.

With small group sizes, you’ll get guided support, clear progression, and the reassurance that you’re moving in a way that works with your body, not against it.

The goal isn’t to push harder;
it’s to move well, feel stronger, and build confidence over time.

Meet the Team | Laura Franklin

Hi, I’m Laura Franklin, Clinical Director at Laura Franklin Rehab.

I’ve been a Physiotherapist since 2006 and teaching Pilates since 2011. My experience spans the NHS, private practice, and elite sport, including semi-professional rugby and professional football.

At LFR, my role includes managing the studio and leading our Physio and Pilates teams, ensuring that our services and classes are clinically led, evidence-based, and focused on long-term results.

The classes I teach are designed to improve:
✔️ Movement quality
✔️ Strength that supports your body
✔️ Confidence in how you move

These classes are suitable whether you’re recovering from injury, managing ongoing issues, or looking to invest in your long-term health.

Weekly classes:
• Tuesday 4.00pm – Clinical Circuit
• Thursday 5.30pm – Restore Reformer
• Thursday 6.30pm – Energise Reformer

Reformer Intro Sessions:
• 1st Thursday of the month – 7.45pm
• 3rd Wednesday of the month – 10.30am

January often makes people feel like they need to start again.

But most of the time, nothing is actually “broken”.
It’s just unclear.

Recurring niggles, flare-ups when you do more, or that sense of always working around your body, these are signals, not failures.

A proper check-in isn’t about stopping or doing less.
It’s about understanding:

• What your body can tolerate right now
• What’s contributing to flare-ups
• What needs support before you build further

That’s how progress becomes consistent, not stop-start.

At LFR, we start with clarity.
From there, we build strength, confidence, and resilience in a way that lasts.

For many people, taking a moment to pause, reflect, and notice patterns in how they’re feeling — energy, digestion, stress, movement — can be a much more supportive place to begin.

This simple weekly check-in is something we often encourage with clients. It’s not about fixing or changing everything at once, but about building awareness and understanding what your body and mind actually need right now.

There’s no rush to have it all figured out.
Sustainable change often happens slowly, through small, realistic steps.

Curious about Reformer Pilates but not sure where to begin?

Our Intro Class is a great place to start.

Led by Chartered Physio and Studio Director Laura Franklin, this small-group session is designed to help you feel comfortable and confident using the Reformer. You'll learn how the machine works, explore some of the key Pilates principles, and go through a series of simple, effective exercises at your own pace.

It’s ideal if you’re:
• New to Reformer Pilates
• Returning after injury or time away
• Wanting a clear, physio-led introduction before joining regular classes

🗓 Held twice a month:
– 1st Thursday at 7.45pm - 8th January
– 3rd Wednesday at 10.30am - 21st January
