They might forget the details of a conversation, but they will remember how you made them feel. Instead of correcting their mistakes or asking "Don't you remember?", try to simply join them in their reality.

By using kind words and a patient tone, you can turn a moment of confusion into a moment of comfort. Always remember, it is better to connect than to be right.

As we approach the busy festive visiting period, Springfield Healthcare is focused on protecting the health of all our residents and community clients. Winter illnesses spread quickly, and the last thing anyone wants is a Christmas spent battling a cold or the flu.

Here’s how you can help us protect our customers and residents:

⭐️ Stay home if unwell. If you feel even slightly unwell, have a temperature, or are coughing, please postpone your visit. A phone call is always better than spreading germs!

⭐️ Practice excellent hygiene: Wash your hands thoroughly and frequently, especially before and after visiting. We encourage the use of hand sanitizer.

⭐️ Consider a mask: In close quarters or during peak visiting times, wearing a face mask can provide an extra layer of protection for your loved one.
