Six of our wonderful volunteers took on the Abbey Dash 10k run this morning - a true display of dedication, teamwork, and community spirit 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️✨

The atmosphere was incredible: smiling faces, supportive cheers, and plenty of well-earned sweat. We’re so grateful to everyone who’s supported us so far ❤️

We’ve already raised £700, and we’re deeply thankful. With your help, we’d love to reach our £1,000 goal 🙏✨

Last week we had the pleasure of visiting Gordon’s LLP in Leeds City, where James Pearson and Ebony Sawant delivered a presentation alongside two of our incredible young volunteers.

We’re proud to share that Gordon’s LLP has chosen CATCH as their Charity of the Year, and this partnership is already opening doors for
our young people. Opportunities like this give them real-world experience, confidence, and the chance to use their voices in professional spaces.

A huge thank you to the team at Gordon’s for welcoming us and believing in the potential of our young people. We’re excited for what this year’s partnership will bring!

What an incredible night at Leeds Playhouse! 🎭✨

Thanks to the amazing support from the team at Leeds Playhouse, we were able to take 20 of our young people to watch A Christmas Carol and they absolutely loved every moment.

We made sure to bring along as many of our GCSE students as possible, knowing how much this experience could support their English exams. And it worked — they’ve come back buzzing with excitement, inspired by the story, and more motivated than ever.

Moments like these remind us how powerful community, kindness, and the arts can be.

Here’s to creating more opportunities, more memories, and more confidence in our young people. ✨

Last night, one of our incredible young people had the honour of representing CATCH at the Aspire Property Awards Evening 2025 and what an unforgettable night it was!

At just 17, James stood in front of a room of over 200 people, full of property developers and an inspiring community built on support and camaraderie. He delivered a powerful speech, sharing his journey with CATCH and introducing our mission to the room. His honesty, confidence, and determination left everyone in awe - earning applause, cheers, and even a standing ovation.

James’ story is a testament to what hard work, resilience, and overcoming obstacles can achieve. He represented CATCH with pride and passion, and we couldn’t be more proud of him.

We were honoured to be chosen as Aspire Property’s charity to support. Their values of building community, improving lives, and supporting people align beautifully with the mission of CATCH. The evening at the Queens Hotel in Leeds was filled with great conversations, great food, uplifting music, and so many motivating connections.

Aspire Property’s mentoring scheme is helping the next generation of property developers thrive - and James made such an impact that Aspire generously pledged to double all funds raised for CATCH.

We’re incredibly grateful for the warm welcome, the inspiring atmosphere, and the huge interest from so many who now want to learn more about what CATCH is all about.

Even in the coldest months, there’s a special kind of warmth that comes from serving others ❄️💙

This week, our incredible volunteers bundled up, showed up, and put their hearts into cleaning our site and feeding the animals who depend on us. From squeaking guinea pigs to grateful little faces, every moment reminded us why community matters so much.

This week, we had the privilege of welcoming colleagues from Belgium as part of the Leeds Learning Alliance’s Relational Restorative Practice Immersion Week. 🌍✨

Our visitors — all education professionals — came to see how we create inclusive, engaging and collaborative spaces at CATCH, with powerful conversations taking place with our young volunteers.

The Leeds Learning Alliance continues to show what’s possible when organisations come together with a shared purpose. 🤝 Their commitment to creating environments where everyone feels valued and supported is something we’re proud to be a part of.

Bringing people together, across borders and backgrounds, matters. It strengthens our practice, widens our perspective and reminds us that the challenges we face — and the solutions we create — are shared. When we learn together, we grow together. 🌱💫

A huge thank you to our Belgian guests for their warmth, curiosity and openness. And thank you to the Leeds Learning Alliance for championing collaboration that truly changes lives.

✨ Celebrating Leadership, Partnership, and Opportunity ✨

Today we had the pleasure of attending the Luminate Education Group CEO Transition Event at Leeds City College — a celebration of the incredible leadership of Colin Booth OBE, who will retire at the end of 2025 after more than 40 years in education and a warm welcome to Bill Jones, who will take on the role of CEO in January 2026.

It was inspiring to reflect on Luminate’s journey — from Leeds City College to one of the UK’s largest education groups — and to discuss the exciting opportunities ahead for young people and our communities.

We were proud to have our two apprentices, James Pearson (Business Administration Apprentice) and Remus Surdu (Farm Apprentice), both current students at Leeds City College, join us at the event. James spoke passionately about his journey and the support he has received throughout his time at college and at CATCH, showing the real impact of collaboration between education and community partners.

We remain committed to working closely with Luminate Education Group to create the best possible chances for young people to learn, grow and achieve their potential.

We wish Colin a happy and healthy retirement and look forward to supporting Bill as he continues to lead with vision and purpose. 🌟

This morning at CATCH, we raised our ‘Lest We Forget’ flag with pride and quiet reflection.

On this Remembrance Day, we pause to honour all those who served and sacrificed for the freedoms we have today. Their courage and selflessness continue to inspire us and it’s important we help the next generation understand the weight and meaning behind today.

In our community, remembrance is not just a moment of silence - it’s a reminder to live with compassion, respect and gratitude every single day.

We remember. We honour. We are grateful.
