We will be open during Lockdown 3.0 for routine eyecare, fulfilling industry guidance, whilst prioritising emergency/urgent care. We will however, due to staff shielding, have slightly erratic opening times. The page will be updated for the following week, on a weekly basis.

We are now open normal hours in both practices, with a reduced number of sight tests to normal, to allow sterilisation of equipment.

We look forward to seeing you soon.

We will be opening our Horsforth branch on Monday 8th June and Friday 12th June 10-2, and Headingley on Wednesday 10th June 10-2. The following week, both practices will be open from 10-4 Monday, Wednesday and Friday. The emergency mobile/email is still available on other days (07376 113405/dhopticians@outlook.com).

As well as Emergency Eyecare appointments, we can now offer Essential Eyecare appointments. This includes anyone who has noticed a reduction in their vision since their last eye test which is affecting their general well-being, anyone who has lost or broken their glasses and is struggling with their older spares, and anyone who is having concerns about their vision or eye health.

Routine eye tests are still not permitted. Please phone ahead if you feel an appointment is required to discuss. Anyone with symptoms of Corona Virus must not attend the practice.

We hope that you are all keeping well, and will post on this page any updated advice.

Following advice from our governing bodies, we have been advised to temporarily cease all routine appointments, and offer an Essential Eye Care Service. We will therefore be operating from behind closed doors for those who require essential eye care.

This would include:
- sudden loss of vision
- painful red eye
- sudden onset of flashes/floaters
- broken, unwearable spectacles
- replacement of lost or broken spectacles.

If you require any essential eye care, please email dhopticians@outlook.com or call 07376 113405.

Calls and emails will be directed straight to Daniel where advise can be given to help resolve the issue. Photographs and descriptions will help.

Contact lenses can be ordered for home delivery by email request and BACS payment.

We hope that our patients stay safe and well, and we look forward to welcoming you back when things return to normal. We will post any updates on here.

Due to the Coronavirus outbreak, we have implemented extra precautions in both our practices, to ensure the safety of both our patients and staff.

We have reduced the number of appointments available in our testing clinics to allow us enough time between patients to clean down the test room and front of shop. Our optometrists will also wear a face mask when doing certain parts of the sight tests.

We will be staying open, unless otherwise instructed by the Government, and we will keep you updated as best as we can.

We are open as normal today, until 5:30pm in Headingley and 5:15pm in Horsforth.

Christmas Eve we will be open until 12pm in Headingley and 1pm in Horsforth.

We will then be closed until Thursday 2nd January 2020.
