August is Psoriasis Awareness Month.

👉What is Psoriasis and what does it look like?
Psoriasis is a skin condition which causes thickened patches of red skin with grey or white scales. Though it is most commonly observed on the knees, elbows and head, psoriasis can occur anywhere on the body.

👉How is Psoriasis diagnosed?
A Dermatologist will perform a visual inspection of the affected areas in order to distinguish it from other inflammatory conditions.
They may also take a history of previous symptoms, general health and other skin conditions.

"From start to finish the whole procedure was so easy. Online consultation, as my GP had confirmed it was a seborrheic keratosis. After their doctor reviewed photos, I was offered an appointment only a few days from my review if I'd wanted it. The clinic was light, airy and very clean. Very nice doctor & nurse. Put me at ease, as I'd never had any laser work before. After the local anesthetic was injected I didn't feel anything. I left with a dressing on the area, a bag with aftercare instructions, cream and more dressings. Very good experience and so easy. 1 month on, I just have a small area of new skin. I'm very happy with how it turned out. No more clothes catching it - it was on my shoulder.

✨ Before & After: Laser Seborrhoeic Keratosis Removal ✨

A seborrhoeic keratosis (also known as a seborrhoeic wart) is a very common skin condition. They are flat, brown lesions which tend to grow larger and darker over time.
While they aren't dangerous, they are unsightly and often cause irritation, itching and bleeding. This most often happens when they are on a part of the body that is touched often, for example by hands, clothing or glasses.
