We are honoured to share that we can now offer Sibling Memory Boxes, lovingly created by Two Little Stars.

These beautiful boxes have been thoughtfully designed to support siblings following the heartbreaking loss of a baby beyond 22 weeks gestation — helping children begin to understand and process a loss that can be incredibly difficult at such a young age.

Each box contains carefully chosen comfort items including a storybook to gently explain baby loss, activity packs, cuddly toys, a soft blanket, worry bears, and meaningful keepsakes — small treasures intended to bring comfort, connection, and lasting memories.

Finished with a satin gold ribbon, every box is created with great care and compassion, holding not only thoughtful items, but also a space for love, remembrance, and healing.

This is something very close to our hearts, and we are deeply grateful to be able to offer these to families facing the unimaginable pain of baby loss while their baby is in our care.

Today we proudly recognise World Down Syndrome Day, a day that celebrates inclusion, individuality, and the unique strengths that make every person valuable within our communities and workplaces.

At Butterfly Funeral Services, we are especially proud to work alongside our colleague Matty, who happens to have Down syndrome. Matty is not defined by a diagnosis, but by his dedication, kindness, professionalism, and the genuine care he brings to everything he does.

In a profession built on compassion and trust, Matty reminds us daily that empathy, patience, and respect are the true skills that matter most. His attention to detail, warm nature, and positive outlook enrich our team and the families we serve. He doesn’t just contribute to our work, he strengthens it, teaching all of us that ability is measured by heart, commitment, and character, not labels.

World Down Syndrome Day is about recognising potential, breaking down assumptions, and celebrating inclusion in action.
