Equinox Blessings

It's the Spring Equinox here in the Northern Hemisphere tomorrow. A sacred pause, a threshold moment, before we head into the light side of the year.

On the 28th March you are invited to gather in ceremony to honour the Spring Equinox. We will be working with our plant ally Nettle, drinking a brew specially prepared for our group. We will also work with the energy of the egg, expressing ourselves creatively. Meditation and a drum journey will take you deep into your subconscious to connect with your goals for this year.

I am excited to be sharing these very special ceremonies at the Space to Breathe Collective, Leicester in 2026 celebrating the Equinoxes and Solstices.

Imbolc Blessings, Lughnasadh Blessings if you are in the Southern Hemisphere.

A while back wrote that Imbolc is like 3am if you imagine the Wheel of the Year as a clock face. This resonated with me deeply and has influenced my thinking ever since. Who would be getting up and starting their day at 3am? There is a lot of sleeping still to do. So if you are still feeling as if the year hasn't really got going, you're probably tuned into the rhythms of the Earth and honouring her slumber. There are a few sparks of life poking through the soil, the snowdrops and daffodils those natural early risers whose job it is to bring a little hope to the grey, cold and wet days.

Over the next week notice how your body feels and watch what is happening in nature. This is the energy of Imbolc.

Samhain Blessings to everyone in the Northern Hemisphere and Beltane Blessings to all in the Southern Hemisphere. In the North we are heading into our winter and going through a process of contracting, shedding and pruning.

We are meeting on Sunday to celebrate the turning of the Wheel of the Year. Working with plant allies Rosemary and Rose and the Yew tree we will connect with ourselves, each other and the Earth. Since working with these solar gateways I have experienced greater groundedness, connection and peace. Yes, I still spin out now and again but it's easier and quicker to come back to myself and my centre.

It is Autumn Equinox or Mabon on Monday in the Northern Hemisphere. A time of harvest and sacred balance. We then continue our descent into winter.

During the Seasonal Ritual Circle 2-4pm on Sunday, we will be releasing through breath and movement, making these dolls, working with allies Rosemary and Hawthorn. Taking time to drop in, connect with ourselves, the cycles of the Earth and each other.

Consider these journal prompts:

• Name three things you are deeply grateful for this year.
• What are are you being encouraged to let go of or release?
• How can you bring greater balance into your life?

The Seasonal Ritual Crafting workshop this morning was so lovely. Twelve people gathered to make beautiful natural wall hangings, each one as different as it's maker. I love the way everyone takes the same materials and brings their own style, interpretation and expression to the piece. We worked with the theme of gratitude weaving our thanks through each object.
