I don't like finishing mandalas.
I love not knowing what the final piece will look like as what I draw depends on my mood and I usually draw over several sittings.
I've been leaning into hand drawing as a tool again and I'm loving the process, sitting with my emotions, feeling and processing them in a way that is safe for me.
The messy(ish) background was a way to challenge my inner perfectionist and I like how it turned out.
That's why I don't like finishing a piece, because as cliche as it sounds, it really is the process that is the best/theraputic.
However, a finished mandala does mean you get to start the process all again โจ๏ธ
