There was singing, dancing, laughter, and plenty of shouting out the answers! Seeing our residents so full of joy and energy truly made our day.

One special moment that really touched all of our hearts was when shaun said:
“Music is what keeps us young.”

And honestly, we couldn’t agree more ❤️

Moments like these remind us just how powerful music can be bringing back memories, lifting spirits, and bringing everyone together for a really wonderful time.

Days like today are why we love what we do 🥰

Yesterday, our residents got creative making a wonderful VE Day poster to commemorate such an important moment in history. 🇬🇧✨

Everyone did an amazing job. It was lovely to see so much creativity happen in such a meaningful activity.

This morning we got our hands nice and messy getting our plant pots ready for the gardener to fill with beautiful flowers 🌼🌿

Everyone enjoyed helping prepare the pots, adding compost, and getting everything ready for a colourful display around the garden It was a lovely morning full of teamwork, laughter, and lots of smiles 😊

We can’t wait to see the flowers blooming soon and brighten up our outdoor spaces! 🌸

Residents enjoyed having their nails painted, cut and filed, along with plenty of smiles, singing, laughter and lovely conversations throughout the day. It was wonderful to spend some one to one time together, helping everyone feel relaxed, cared for and pampered.

Days like these are all about the little things that make a big difference 💖

We’re really proud to be celebrating two very special members of our team Joginder & June.

Joginder has been with us for an amazing 20 years as Deputy Cook a huge milestone. She plays such an important role in the kitchen, bringing variety, creativity and something really special through her cooking.

She’s someone you can always rely on whether that’s supporting the team, helping with events, or getting involved in planning. She just gets stuck in and that kind of attitude makes such a difference day to day.

June has been with us for 15 years as a Kitchen Assistant. She’s someone who quietly gets on with things, but the impact she has is felt every single day. She’s incredibly helpful, takes real pride in what she does, and keeps such high standards.

More than that, she’s a real people person, she knows everyone, residents and staff alike and brings a genuine warmth into the home.

Together, they both represent what long service is really about consistency, care and being part of the home in a way that goes far beyond their roles.

Thank you both for everything you’ve given over the years 💚

𝓢𝓸𝓶𝓮𝓽𝓲𝓶𝓮𝓼 𝓽𝓱𝓮 𝓼𝓶𝓪𝓵𝓵𝓮𝓼𝓽 𝓶𝓸𝓶𝓮𝓷𝓽𝓼 𝓵𝓮𝓪𝓿𝓮 𝓽𝓱𝓮 𝓫𝓲𝓰𝓰𝓮𝓼𝓽 𝓶𝓪𝓻𝓴. 💛

Behind every bedroom door is a person who has lived a whole lifetime filled with love, family, memories, laughter, heartache, achievements, and stories still waiting to be heard. 💛

Sometimes the most meaningful parts of our job happen quietly, sitting beside a resident, holding a conversation close to the heart, singing songs together, painting nails, reading a favourite story, or simply sharing time with someone so they know they matter.

We don’t believe care and companionship should only happen in the lounge or during big group activities. Some of the most beautiful moments are the ones shared one to one, in the comfort of a resident’s own room, where they feel safe, calm, and completely themselves.

Because what may seem small to others can mean absolutely everything to someone else.
A visit.
A smile.
A hand to hold.

These are the moments that remind us that activities are not just about keeping people busy, they are about bringing comfort, dignity, joy, and human connection into somebody’s day.

And sometimes, all a person really needs is someone willing to come sit beside them and remind them that they are cared for, valued, and never alone. ✨

This afternoon our residents enjoyed a lovely time out in the garden listening to Ice’s music, soaking up the sunshine, and enjoying plenty of refreshing drinks to stay hydrated in the warm weather ☀️🎶🍹

It was wonderful to see everyone relaxed, smiling, and making the most of the beautiful afternoon together.

Residents came together to sing familiar hymns, share prayers, and enjoy a peaceful time of reflection. It was wonderful to see so many smiling faces and to feel such a strong sense of community and comfort throughout the room.

Moments like these are truly special, bringing joy, calm, and connection to everyone involved 💛
