Another insightful day at the IRVAP Annual Conference with two of my particular highlights being Sue Dyson The 24 Behaviors of the Ridden Horse in Pain and Russel Mackenzie Centaur Biomechanics. All the speakers were great, however, with a common theme across the industry of trying to improve horse welfare by educating owners, grooms and riders, which is something I am very passionate about. Thank you IRVAP for putting together a great line-up.

Its blog time again peeps. This time we're focusing on the TMJ, what is it? where is it? what role does it play? and how it can affect performance? Its short, sweet but will leave you with a greater understanding of this all important joint. So you know the drill my friends... grab a cuppa, find a comfy seat, click and enjoy ☕ https://www.equine-therapy.co.uk/blog/tmj

As a horse rider/owner you may have heard your riding instructor or therapist refer to the “TMJ” and the important role it plays as part of your horse’s anatomy. But what is it and what does it do?

I've been quiet, but as you all know, with good reason! I am well on the road to recovery, though, and have written this blog for you to enjoy. You know the drill, my friends... grab a cuppa and give yourselves 10 minutes to learn a little about your horse's back! https://www.equine-therapy.co.uk/blog/thehorsesback #

Have you ever given much thought to the thing that supports your entire bodyweight when out happy hacking on your horse, leaping fences with precise skill and precision or galloping across the stubble fields on a hot summer’s day? Horses' backs were not designed to carry riders; the horse evolved ...

***EPIONY HEAT PADS ON SALE WHILE STOCKS LAST***
These pads are excellent not only for your four-legged friends but for you aswell, whether it's after a long day in the saddle or (as in my case) after a nasty fall. I've been using mine as a drug free way to reduce inflammation and pain in my neck and to relax muscle fibres before carrying out my stretch exercises, allowing me to increase my range of motion and speed up my recovery process. It really is a god-send and I can't recommend it enough. I have 3qty in stock at a reduced rate, but I have them on repeat order as I sell via my website as well as directly to equine massage clients. Available to purchase via my personal FB Marketplace https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100036657662333
or via my website www.equine-therapy.co.uk/online-shop

Hello my friends - sorry I’ve been so quiet of late but 4 weeks ago today I had a bad fall from a horse resulting in a dislocated & bilateral fracture of my neck. Thank you to all my clients who have been amazingly understanding - I’ve been very lucky that I had the best surgeons available on the day at LRI who literally saved my life giving me the opportunity to take a forced sabbatical to rest and recover. I cannot say when I will be back and able to continue to support you and your horses in person - it is a marathon not a sprint and I have a long road ahead to rebuild strength and mobility. Watch this space as when I feel able I will try to add some further blogs that I hope you’ll find useful. As you can see I am in good hands at home with Jett keeping a close eye on me. TTFN. With love 🙏🤕🤗
