Our residents have enjoyed such a lovely, activity-filled day today! ☀️
We started off with some fun exercise using the parachute and ball – lots of movement, teamwork and plenty of smiles all around. It’s wonderful to see everyone getting involved and encouraging one another.
The fun continued with a few competitive (but friendly!) games of dominoes, keeping minds active and spirits high.
To top it all off, we hosted a delightful Gentlemen’s Afternoon, filled with great conversation, beers,snacks and a relaxed atmosphere. A perfect way to round off a fantastic day!

What a wonderful week we’ve had at Woodheyes
We were delighted to welcome Music Memories, who brought so much joy, singing, and special moments to everyone. It’s always amazing to see how music brings back treasured memories and lots of smiles. 🎶
Our residents also enjoyed getting creative with water painting dominoes, showing off their artistic talents and having plenty of laughs along the way. For those who were unable to attend group activities, we made sure no one missed out by sharing short stories and one to one time, bringing the activities to them so everyone could be involved and feel included.

And today was extra special as we celebrated our lovely Grace’s 99th birthday! 🎂💐 What an incredible milestone — we hope you’ve had the most wonderful day filled with love, laughter, and lots of cake!

Our residents have had the most amazing Valentine’s Day, filled with love, laughter, and beautiful moments shared together. Roses were given, smiles were bright, and so much kindness was spread throughout the day.
We also took time to gently remember the loved ones who are no longer with us ,holding them close in our hearts and honouring the love that never fades. ❤️
Valentine’s Day is not just about romance, but about connection, friendship, memories, and the warmth we give to one another every single day. Today was a beautiful reminder of just how much love surrounds us.
Thank you to everyone who helped make it so meaningful. 💖

Love is in the air and woodheyes is buzzing! 💕🌹
Residents are busy getting all set for Valentine’s Day 💌 crafting surprises, planning special dinners, and spreading lots of love! At the same time, we have been enjoying Teddy Bear Day 🧸 with cuddly gifts and adorable smiles all around.
And let’s not forget the ball games and enjoying watching the Winter Olympics 🤩Nothing like a little friendly competition and community spirit to keep the energy high

Today’s activities had a sprinkle of fun (and a little chocolate chaos 🍫)
This morning our residents got stuck into making chocolate brownie mug cakes. Results? 2 out of 5 were a success… but hey, it’s the taking part that counts, and there were plenty of smiles, laughs, and chocolatey fingers along the way!
This afternoon we slowed things down with some story reading for residents who aren’t able to attend group sessions. Because if they can’t come to the activities, we bring the activities to them 📚
A lovely day full of laughter, and time to connect with each other,just the way we like it ✨

What a lovely day all round 🌷✨
Our residents got their hands dirty in the best way today, planting crocus bulbs to enjoy watching them grow right from their rooms. There was also time for a little self-care with a relaxing pamper foot spa, followed by a gentle stroll to the local café for a cuppa and a chat.
Simple pleasures, fresh air, and lots of smiles — days like these make our hearts happy 💛☕🌼

It’s been a week full of smiles and fun for our residents! 🎯🍰
From enjoying a game of darts and getting creative making cornflake cakes, to today’s water painting and lively ball games, there’s been something for everyone.
Alongside all the activities, residents have also enjoyed their daily choice to take part in some gentle exercises, keeping active in a way that suits them.
We love seeing everyone having fun, staying engaged, and enjoying time together

We’ve had a lovely day already
This morning our residents enjoyed some calming water painting, which everyone found very therapeutic and relaxing. This afternoon brought a wonderful burst of energy as we got moving with chair exercises for some and a fun game of bowling 🎳 with others, lots of smiles, laughter, and friendly competition!
It’s been a beautiful balance of calm creativity and active fun 🤩

What a lovely way to end the week at Woodheyes!
Our residents had a wonderful visit from the Small Animal Team yesterday and absolutely loved spending time with all the furry friends 🐰🐹. There were plenty of smiles, cuddles, and happy moments shared all around.
Alongside the visit, residents also enjoyed getting creative by crafting beautiful mosaic hearts ❤️ in preparation for Valentine’s Day and having some fun with a game of bowling 🎳.
A truly joyful day filled with laughter, creativity, and special memories. 😊

From making delicious fudge and enjoying fun games, to being pampered with hair and nails, and getting creative crafting and painting rocks — there’s been smiles, laughter, and plenty of creativity all around 🎨💅🍬
It’s been wonderful to see everyone enjoying themselves and spending time together 💫

Our residents have had a truly lovely week so far 🌸
They’ve been thoroughly pampered with visits to the hairdresser, enjoyed having their nails done, and spent plenty of time relaxing with some calming colouring activities.
We’ve also been busy decorating flower pots in preparation for our upcoming sunflower competition 🌻 — watch this space to see how they grow!
It’s been a wonderful week full of smiles, creativity, and a little well-deserved self-care ❤️

✨ Happy New Year from Woodheyes! ✨
We’ve been welcoming the New Year with smiles, creativity, and plenty of cozy moments 💛 Yesterday, our residents had lots of fun making delicious chocolate cornflake cakes and creating their very own personalised journals — such a lovely way to end the year!
Today has been all about a relaxed New Year’s Day, led by our residents’ choice of activities. These have included colouring, bird watching, jigsaws, word searches, reading, and of course enjoying a bit of cooking programmes 📺🍰 — plus much more along the way.
A calm, happy start to 2026, shared together at Woodheyes 🥰🎉
