If you are due or overdue your cervical screening and are unable to get to the surgery then the Leicester Royal Infirmary or Leicester General Hospital will be doing a walk in clinic on the 9th May 2026 between 9am till 3pm.

You can attend if:
- Your cervical smear is overdue and you have recieved your cervical smear invitation letter.
-Your smear is due within the next 3 months.

Please do not attend if you are:
-Over 65 years of age
-Have had a hysterectomy
- You have heavy bleeding on the day of the clinic.

Following on from some of the recent communications sent focussing on reducing patient DNA rates within Primary Care, we wanted to share the details of a newly launched NHS campaign called “Tap the App”. This urges people to turn on “push alerts” from the NHS app, so that they get reminders about their appointments and can rearrange any that they cannot make.
