Acrylic vs Fibreglass
So what is the difference I here you ask?
Both acrylic and fibreglass are very similar in appearance and do perform admirably in our wooden hot tubs.
So why is this new acrylic liner a better choice? The answer to this is the actual composition of the material, acrylic is vacuum formed from a single sheet of layered material, no separate gel coat is required, the acrylic therefore is stronger, by design is also UV resistant and will not fade or discolour in sunlight, it is also more resistant to chemical attack also it is non porous unlike fibreglass.
