For people who have to be outside, take steps to protect yourself from the heat. Dress in loose, lightweight, light-colored clothing and shield yourself from the sun with hats, sunglasses and sunscreen. The hotter it is, the more frequently you should be taking breaks

Sunburn increases your risk of skin cancer. Sunburn does not just happen on holiday. You can burn in the UK, even when it's cloudy.
There's no safe or healthy way to get a tan. A tan does not protect your skin from the sun's harmful effects.
Aim to strike a balance between protecting yourself from the sun and getting enough vitamin D from sunlight.

Spend time in the shade when the sun is strongest. In the UK, this is between 11am and 3pm from March to October.
Make sure you:
* spend time in the shade between 11am and 3pm
* make sure you never burn
* cover up with suitable clothing and sunglasses
* take extra care with children
* use at least factor 30 sunscreen

Cracked heels, also known as fissures, can be a nuisance but can occasionally lead to more serious problems if left untreated. Treat them by giving your feet a little more attention, beginning with moisturizing them at least twice a day. Look for thick moisturizers (Eucerin, Cetaphil, others). Some moisturizers contain skin-softening agents, such as urea, salicylic acid or alpha hydroxy acid, which may help remove dead skin. They may cause slight stinging or irritation.

An abscess is a painful collection of pus, usually caused by a bacterial infection. Abscesses can develop anywhere in the body.

* skin abscesses – which develop under the skin
* internal abscesses – which develop inside the body, in an organ or in the spaces between organs

Treating an abscess
A small skin abscess may drain naturally, or simply shrink, dry up and disappear without any treatment.
However, larger abscesses may need to be treated with antibiotics to clear the infection, and the pus may need to be drained. This will usually be done either by inserting a needle through your skin or by making a small incision in the skin over the abscess.

1. take it at right time of day and at the dose recommended by your GP.
2. check the instructions, or your planner, to make sure you're taking it properly. Some medicines should only be taken before a meal, or with water or food.
3. use your own supply and never take medication prescribed for someone else.

Everyone with high blood pressure is advised to make healthy lifestyle changes.
Whether medicine is also recommended depends on your blood pressure reading and your risk of developing problems such as heart attacks or strokes.

Lifestyle changes
There are some changes you could make to your lifestyle to reduce high blood pressure.
Some of these will lower your blood pressure in a matter of weeks, while others may take longer.
