Here is Elise enjoying a lovely walk out in the sunshine ☀️

Short walks and fresh air can make such a positive difference to both physical and mental wellbeing. Even a gentle stroll helps improve circulation, boost mood, and maintain mobility. Time outdoors also supports better sleep and can help reduce stress and feelings of isolation.

We always encourage our clients to take part in small, achievable exercises that suit their abilities — whether that’s a short walk, light stretching, or simply spending a few minutes outside. These little moments of movement and fresh air can add up to big benefits for health and happiness. 💛

We had a lovely afternoon on Friday at the Home Instead West Leicestershire and Market Bosworth Community Café at Barlestone Baptist Church 💛

We celebrated two special birthdays for our lovely ladies, Cathie and Betty — it was wonderful to share the occasion together and make it such a memorable afternoon 🎂 We also enjoyed an amazing session with J D Hylton, a neurophysiotherapist. Everyone really enjoyed the session which was very informative, and the music he played for us at the end was a perfect finish to the day — a big thank you to J D for joining us! 🎶

We’d love to see you at our next Community Café on 22nd May, 2pm–3pm — come along for a friendly afternoon, good company, and plenty of smiles. Everyone is welcome!

A little routine can go a long way in helping home feel calm and familiar.

Simple things like waking up around the same time, sharing meals in a usual spot, or planning one small afternoon activity can make the day feel more settled.

It is not about sticking to a rigid schedule. It is about finding a rhythm that feels comfortable and manageable.

Which part of the day feels easiest when there is a routine in place?

Good care is often found in the little details.

Knowing how someone likes their tea, how they like to start the day, or where they feel most comfortable can help support feel more familiar and reassuring.

Personal care should feel respectful, familiar, and shaped around the person receiving it.

Because when support feels personal, home still feels like home.

Save this if thoughtful care matters to your family.

Starting a care conversation does not have to feel heavy.

Often, the best time is during an ordinary moment, over a cup of tea, on a walk, or while sitting together.

Try asking:
“How have you been lately?”
“Is anything feeling a bit harder than it used to?”
“Would a little extra support help?”

A gentle start can help someone feel heard, involved, and comfortable opening up.

Save this for when the time feels right.
