As the evenings draw in and the temperatures dip, many of us start thinking about keeping well through the colder months. One simple way older adults and their families can support wellbeing is by enjoying seasonal foods that are rich in natural goodness.

Here are some ideas to add colour and comfort to meals this November:

Citrus fruits (like oranges, satsumas, and grapefruits) bring a fresh source of vitamin C, which helps the body stay resilient.

Root vegetables (such as carrots, parsnips, and swede) are perfect for hearty soups and roasts, offering warmth and energy.

Dark leafy greens (like kale, spinach, and cabbage) are packed with nutrients and taste wonderful in stews or gently steamed as a side.

🎵 A Wonderful Afternoon at Our Enderby Memory Café! 🎵

We had such a lovely afternoon singing with Christina from Musical Memory Box at our Enderby Memory Café. Our Care Manager, Anna Butlin, joined us for the session, and our wonderful clients Elise and Edmund took part too—enjoying the singing, gentle exercises, and the warm, welcoming atmosphere. ✨

Don’t miss our final Memory Café of the year! We’re excited to welcome Gemma from Gemma Taylor Health and Fitness, who will be leading a Christmas Laughter Therapy Session — guaranteed fun, joy, and plenty of festive smiles for everyone!

We received this lovely card from the daughter of one of our clients and it really made our day 🐾💐

After he spent some time in hospital, our Care Professional Julie quietly organised a hamper for him, with donations from our care team and the office. It was a small way to brighten his day and let him know we were thinking of him.

To then receive this beautiful “thank you” card meant a great deal to us all. We’re so pleased we could bring a smile to his face and support his family at a difficult time.
