Ever since being a student on the team, with Sally as my mentor, I just knew that if I had another baby, a homebirth would be the right choice for me. It felt extra special that Sally ended up being my midwife and cared for me all the way through my pregnancy. She supported every decision I made, always included my partner whenever he was around for appointments, and genuinely made the whole experience such a joy. Continued in comments...

Why not pop along tomorrow to find out about the services offered by UHL maternity services. Don't forget to stop and say Hi to Sam who will be promoting our service.

Join us on Thursday 2 October, from 6pm to 8:30pm at Antenatal Clinic, Kensington Building, Leicester Royal Infirmary, for our Maternity Matters: Meet the Expert event.

This is your chance to meet the people who care for you during pregnancy, ask questions, and learn more about your care. You can also discover why vaccines matter in pregnancy, chat with midwives, student midwives and our infant feeding team, and get support for stopping smoking, mental health and wellbeing. Our birth centre and homebirth teams will also be available, along with much more on the day.

Everyone is welcome to drop in. Interpreting services are available in Hindi, Romanian, Kurdish Sorani and Gujarati.
