Most “normal” deodorants aren’t just deodorant… they’re a cocktail.

What’s commonly inside off-the-shelf deodorants (and why people avoid them):

Aluminium salts (antiperspirants) – used to block sweat ducts (some people prefer not to “plug” sweating).

Fragrance / Parfum – can include hidden allergen blends and sensitizers that trigger irritation for some skin types.

Parabens (preservatives) – often avoided due to hormone-mimicking concerns (even as regulations restrict certain types).

Phthalates (sometimes in fragrance systems) – commonly avoided due to endocrine concerns.

Triclosan / antibacterials (in some products) – concerns around skin disruption and resistance (less common now but still appears).

PEGs, solvents, propellants – can be harsh for sensitive underarms and disrupt the skin barrier.

Now compare that to Natural Alum (Potassium Alum):

✅ One mineral salt used for odour control
✅ Works by creating an invisible layer that discourages odour-causing bacteria
✅ No added fragrance, no propellants, no “mystery blend”
✅ Long-lasting + super cost effective

If your underarms react to conventional deodorants… switching to a simpler option can be a game-changer.

Most people using African black soap are damaging their skin without knowing it.

African black soap is powerful. That is exactly why misuse causes problems.

Here are the 3 biggest mistakes:

Using it every day It is too cleansing for daily use for most skin types.
Overuse strips your skin and triggers more oil or irritation.

Applying it directly to your face Raw black soap is concentrated. Rubbing it straight on your skin can cause micro-tears and sensitivity.

Skipping moisturiser after Cleansing without restoring moisture weakens your skin barrier. This is where dryness and breakouts begin.

Lather the soap in your hands first.
Use it 2–3 times per week.
Always follow with shea butter to lock in moisture and support recovery.

Save this so you stop guessing and start using black soap correctly.

If your soap can’t explain itself, it shouldn’t touch your skin.

Most people are not reacting to products. They are reacting to ingredients they don’t understand.

African black soap is different. It is not just “natural.” It is traceable.

Traditionally made from plantain skins, cocoa pods, and natural oils, it cleans without stripping your skin barrier when used correctly.

Understanding what you use is the first step to fixing your skin.

Use African black soap 2–3 times per week, not daily. Balance it with shea butter to restore moisture after cleansing.

Acne-Fighting Tips That Work
Small habits make a big difference

Cleansing twice daily, using a light moisturiser, and staying consistent are the foundations of acne care. Overwashing or skipping moisturiser often worsens breakouts.

African black soap supports these habits by cleansing deeply without stripping the skin barrier.

Keep it simple and consistent
