Great to meet with Abi from Woven Farewell Coffins today. Not only will Abi be weaving Willow Coffins for us, but will also be inviting family members to help participate in weaving a coffin for their loved one. We think this will be a truly personal way to say goodbye.

We will also be offering weaving workshops in the Spring. Keep an eye on our social media for details.

A pleasure to have recently spent time with two wonderful celebrants. Amy Perkins Celebrant who supports us at Prestwold and Scraptoft. And Teresa Bradburn Celebrant who cares for families at Wrottesley Park. We are very lucky as we know that Amy, Teresa, and so many other excellent celebrants provide such an important, caring service to the bereaved.

An incredible day at the Charnwood Eco Hub Sustainability Fair today. Thank you to everyone who visited, we had a wonderful time meeting so many lovely people, and many fantastic local eco friendly organisations and businesses. Finally, many thanks to Loop Biotech for the star of the show, the Living Cocoon Mushroom Coffin.

Our care and respect includes digging all graves traditionally by hand. This minimises environmental damage, protects the burial ground, and ensures maximum respect for others in our care.

The weather is holding for us at Wrottesley (and we have shelters and umbrella's) so feel free to visit. We also have the wonderful Gate House Florals with us, and plenty of tea, coffee, and sandwiches. We are here until 3pm.
