One thing life has taught me is that everyone is carrying something you may know nothing about.

A quiet person, a delayed reply, someone seeming off or frustrated — sometimes it has absolutely nothing to do with you. We never really know what battles people are facing behind closed doors.

My own journey through health challenges and later re**al cancer completely changed my outlook on life. It taught me resilience, gratitude and the importance of kindness, because even the smallest bit of compassion can make a real difference to someone’s day.

The good news is that I’m now in remission and feeling incredibly grateful for another chapter in life. A lot more appreciative, a lot more grounded, and definitely not taking things for granted anymore.

The world could always do with a little more kindness, couldn’t it?

I know it’s only the 9th of May 🫣… but I’ve just finished writing my very first Sunday Evening Service for Encounter!

So… what, where, and when?

Encounter is a worship evening where we come together as a community through live music, thanksgiving, a message, and reflection — a space to encounter faith together.

Our first evening will begin at 6pm on Sunday 7th June at Epworth Methodist Church, LE4 0FW.
(Roadside parking available.)

I’ll be leading both the service and the message for June, which I’m incredibly excited about!

This evening is open to everyone, regardless of faith, spiritual beliefs, or level of understanding.

To help us arrange the seating in the Encounter style and create something really special for everyone attending, please comment below or message me directly if you’d like to join us.

We’d love to welcome you!

PLEASE SHARE!!! I’ve had an idea, not saying anything will come of it, but l honestly believe this could make such a difference to people when diagnosed with cancer, especially in the early days! Love & Light to you all

Most people don’t realise just how powerful vitamin C can be in our daily diet.

I make a point of eating at least two large oranges 🍊 a day and drinking around 300ml of aloe vera gel drink—both great sources of vitamin C.

So what exactly does vitamin C do?

🛡️ Supports the immune system!
Vitamin C helps stimulate the production and function of white blood cells, which protect the body against infections. It may also help reduce the duration of common colds.

🌟 Acts as a powerful antioxidant!
It helps protect your cells from damage caused by free radicals—unstable molecules linked to ageing and various diseases. This may contribute to a lower risk of chronic conditions like heart disease.

🧴 Supports healthy skin!
Vitamin C is essential for collagen production, which keeps skin firm and resilient. It may also help improve skin texture and reduce visible signs of ageing.

🩸 Improves iron absorption!
It enhances the absorption of iron from plant-based foods, helping to reduce the risk of iron deficiency and fatigue.

❤️ Supports heart health!
Vitamin C may help lower blood pressure, reduce LDL (“bad”) cholesterol, and support overall cardiovascular function.

👁️ Supports eye health!
It plays a role in maintaining healthy vision and may help reduce the risk of age-related eye conditions like cataracts.

⚡ Aids wound healing!
Because of its role in collagen formation, vitamin C helps the body repair tissues and heal wounds more efficiently.

Common sources of vitamin C include:
🍊 Citrus fruits (oranges, lemons)
🍓 Strawberries
🥝 Kiwi
🌶️ Bell peppers
🥦 Broccoli and spinach

Even small changes to your daily diet can have a meaningful impact on your health. Consistency with simple habits often makes the biggest difference.

A lovely morning leading the Sunday service at Ratby Methodist Church today.

Ratby has always held a special place in my heart. It’s where I began my preaching journey and carried out all of my on-site learning. Returning 2½ years later felt incredibly meaningful, and I received such a warm and generous welcome.

The service centred on the theme “There’s a Place for You,” and reflecting on it afterwards, I truly felt that there will always be a place for me at Ratby. The kind and encouraging feedback I received meant so much.

Two comments especially stayed with me:

“What a transformation—from the person who first came here to who you are today. It’s amazing to see such wonderful growth.”

“That was different from what we usually have, but different is great. I really enjoyed everything about your service—the hymns, the prayers, and your sermon truly made me think. I’m so glad I came this morning.”

Feeling so very grateful and blessed ♥️🙏🏽

Just over four weeks into remission 🙏🏽✨

I’ve lost 8kg in just four weeks — even with a week in the sun! Funny enough, radiotherapy and chemo actually made me gain weight (typical me 🤣). I went from 73kg before treatment to 79kg after… and this morning I’m down to 71kg!!!

So what’s changed?

⭐️ Eating sensibly — not dieting. Cutting out everything you love never lasts.
⭐️ Moving every day — walking daily and running at least three times a week.
⭐️ Adding supplements to support my overall fitness.
⭐️ Cutting back on “white carbs” (not cutting them out completely!).
⭐️ Doing one thing every day that genuinely makes me smile — mental health matters so much in this journey.
⭐️ And finally… understanding that one chocolate bar won’t make me ‘FAT’ just like one salad won’t make me ‘SLIM’ It’s all about consistency and not giving up.

Love & peace ♥️🙏🏽

So EXCITED for this!

Launching on Sunday 7th June 🙌

This has been something close to my heart for a while now, and I’m so grateful for the support and encouragement of my amazing minister, Rev. Joy ❤️—her belief in me has helped keep me grounded and steadfast in my faith.

We’re looking for musicians and vocalists to join us for Sunday evening worship!

🕊 First Sunday of each month
🕕 6:00pm (just over an hour)

We’ll be singing worship songs and well-known modern hymns, with space to give thanks and a short reflection each service.

If you’d love to be part of it, I’d really love to hear from you 🙏

This is what Saturdays are for. A quiet day by the pool, with sun and sangria.

While resting, I chose and listened to the song I will use in my next service on 3rd May, when I return. The theme is There’s a Place for You, so I will let you decide which song I chose, especially for the words.

For me, services and sermons must reflect and relate to people’s lives, feelings, and emotions, while keeping the Bible and God as our constant guide.

You do not need a strong faith or fixed belief to come to church. I think, you just need a willingness to become a better version of yourself, for no-one is perfect! ♥️🙏🏽
