SEE ME Saturdays at Langdale Care Homes Celebrating Our Residents
As part of our SEE ME Saturdays series, we take time to share the stories of the people who make Langdale Care Homes what it is. Today, we are proud to share the story of Leslie, who lives at Langdale House, and the thoughtful, person centred care that supports her to continue living her life in ways that matter to her.
At Langdale House, Sharon, our Activities Coordinator, often reminds us that this is our residentsโ home.
Leslie has always enjoyed being around people. She values conversation, time with friends, and getting out into the community for a cup of tea or coffee and a chance to talk. These moments of connection are an important part of who Leslie is, and Sharon ensures they remain part of her daily life.
Leslie was also a doctor, a role she truly loved. Caring for others was central to her identity, and that connection continues to be respected. Through familiar medical programmes such as The Good Doctor and Greyโs Anatomy, Leslie remains connected to her professional life, sparking memories, conversations, and a strong sense of continuity.
Faith continues to play an important role in Leslieโs life. She and her husband Brian were members of the Church of England, and this connection is still honoured.
We are grateful to Leslie and her family for allowing us to share her story, and to Sharon for the compassion and dedication she brings to ensuring every person feels seen, valued, and truly at home.
