Leicester Medical Society Founded in 1800, the fourth-oldest medical society in the country, still going strong with an inspiring programme of lectures every year. Treasurer - Prof.

The Society holds monthly meetings, with the main event being an interesting and often inspiring lecture of interest to medical professionals. All Leicestershire-based medics are welcome to attend. In addition to this, the Society has a number of medical student bursaries and offers continued support to local medical professionals and their families. Membership costs £30.00 per annum for medical professionals. Students at Leicester Medical School are entitled to free membership of the society for the duration of their studies. All meetings take place at the Centre for Medicine at the University of Leicester, Lancaster Road, LE1 5WW at 7pm. The meetings are preceded by an opportunity to network with a light supper and drinks from 6:15 pm. President - Dr Jonathan Cusack
