And this 'Welcome Here, Welcome Me' piece created by Jessica Annie Parkes at this week's Smoothie session inspired by James Wright.

Welcome Here, Welcome Me.

Welcome here, welcome me
Turn around, come and see
Bounds softly on the grass
She is black and white
Shyly as wet swans, they love each other
Welcome here, welcome me
Turn around, come and see
For she has walked over to me
And nuzzled my left hand
She is black and white
Shyly as wet swans, they love each other

We had another wonderful Wednesday Words session with Rebecca Goss today and this lovely 'Golden Zone' piece was created by Andy Richardson during the group.

Golden Zone.

High in my eyrie in the Shropshire hills
I feel the calm that nature instils
and after some moments of introspection
my thoughts fly free in every direction.

Then they settle like a bird on a tall oak tree
with a gentle revelation that helps me to see
that even up here I am not alone
and I float, serene in the golden zone.

And look at this wonderful piece created by Naomi Neighbour at today's James Wright inspired Smoothie session at The Bradgate Mental Health Unit today.

Field of Dreams.

At this particular time,
I changed my future life,
For the better.
And life itself,
Changed like a diamond.
The wonders of nature,
Sometimes are really exciting,
And magic.
In this field of dreams,
As I look into this pool of water,
I reflect on beauty,
And real-life dreams.
And all the fields come together,
And open up,
As part of the family.

Here's some wonderful 'Couplets' created by Jayne Smith with Andy Richardson at a Wednesday Words online session earlier this year.

Rhyming couplets.

From short sleeves to hoodies.
From baddies to goodies.

From doing back flips to slips.
From eating anything to wide hips.

From sitting in comfort to standing in pain.
Tim wishes freedom from sciatica would reign.

From long red hair to the occasional grey.
Dye my hair? That’ll be the day!

From hitting record on my tape deck to selecting on a touchscreen.
The DJ talking did make me scream.

A 'Gift' poem created by Jayne Smith at a recent Wednesday Words online session.

What is a gift?
What would be your most treasured gift?
Would it be time spent?
A cure to ease your pain?
Or, after a drought, dancing in the rain?
